Hello! :)
This time we will show process of checking and adjusting valve clearance. The most important tool is feeler gauge with range from 0,05mm to 0,13mm (0,002in - 0,005in).
It is also good to have valve adjustment tool, torque wrench (9Nm), couple of o-rings and crush washer.
Keep in mind to check valve clearance from time to time :)
According to the service manual you should check it every 6000km or 3700miles.
If you enjoyed please leave a like and subscribe :)

Wow ! what a cool video, you are the goddess of the DR350. Very instructive video and I like the the technique of putting the middle thickness gauge and trying after wards with the biggest acceptable gap. Thanks a lot !

Another great video 👍🏻 How often should these valve clearances be checked??
@DawidMartasMotoAdventures
@DawidMartasMotoAdventures 4 года назад
Thanks! No idea how often you should check valve clearances. I think it depends from riding style - so when you ride it hard, then you should chek it more often. We plan to check it during every winter and always before "big" trip :)

Hi! Thanks :) It is from aliexpress, search for "digital torque adapter". This model is 2 to 200Nm and it costs 40$ :)

Hello i watch all of your videos and i respect that you are amazing... my question is, i will buy a dr350 so soon it needs rear disk, chain, sprocket(i want to get 47 tooth) and front hub bearings... which parts could i get? for example rear disk interchangable with which one? Any 47 tooth rear sprocket fits the hub? Thanks
@DawidMartasMotoAdventures
@DawidMartasMotoAdventures 4 года назад
Hi Abdullah! I hope there is no errors in this list :) Chain: DID 520 VX2 ( x-ring, I think there is nothing better to buy) Sprockets ( check www.jtsprockets.com/catalogue ) Rear: JTR808(steel)/JTA808(aluminium) 43-53 teeth Front : JTF432 11-15 teeth Rear disc for example NG044 (NG Brake Disc) Bearings: ( www.thisoldtractor.com/dr350_wheel_bearings_and_seals.html ) When you have bearing number like "6202" you need to buy it in hardware shop. Try to buy bearing from NTN, NSK, Koyo, SKF. Also it is nice to replace the hub seals :) Have a nice day!

No, no adjustment needed. There should be only small free play when it is in off position

Hey Great videos I've been watching them a lot lately I just recently bought a 93DRS I love riding dual sport bike for my first bike But it has been given me issues with bogging out when I'm in the 4 or 5th gear. I took into a shop to have them look at it but all they did was readjusted the valves to spec and check psi was at 140/160 so they told me they couldn't get the bike to start by kick or bump start but when I took it home I was able to do both but the problem still occurred with bogging/ losing compression. So my buddy and I cleaned the carburetor and also found that the main jet was smaller then what Manuel called for. We put in a 140mm jet since the bike was running really lean (spark plug was totally white) and bike was running good for about two days with no bogg/lost of compression but the 3rd day the bike was showing similar symptoms. Is there anything you can suggest that might help with this problem? We turned out the air fuel mixture screw 2x might turn it 3x out to see if this helps but if you or your husband have any suggestions would be greatly appreciated or anyone in the comments. Thanks again.

@DawidMartasMotoAdventures 3 года назад
Hi! Sorry for late reply :( Is there any exhaust or airbox modifications? If yes then you need to change jets in carb and it is normal. You may also try to raise or lower main jet needle or make sure there is no problem with floater (and make sure it's height is set properly) Good luck!

Should I drain the oil before adjusting the valves?
@DawidMartasMotoAdventures
@DawidMartasMotoAdventures 3 года назад
No. But you should put bike in vertical position. On side stand some oil may pour out through crank cap :)

@DawidMartasMotoAdventures
@DawidMartasMotoAdventures 2 года назад
@pudzian3627
@pudzian3627 2 года назад
@@DawidMartasMotoAdventures no kręciłem i kręciłem az w końcu znalazłem ten luz.

@DawidMartasMotoAdventures
@DawidMartasMotoAdventures 2 года назад
