Today I rebuild the carburetor on my Suzuki DR350SE. This was a long process, during which I removed the carb, took out all the old jets and components, cleaned everything, reassembled it, and repeated until I found the problem with the bike. I go through replacing the jets to inspecting the diaphram and slide, and cleaning everything. This carburator is a MIKUNI BST33 carb, which is the CV style. Off road bikes have the TM33 "pumper" carb, also made by MIKUNI. After the first cleaning the bike would idle but not rev without dying. Eventually I traced this problem back to needing to add a spacer to the needle to get more fuel to the bike.
