Hope the video helped you! 😁 Also, I found a NEW tool called WinX MediaTrans. It allows you to convert HEIC to JPG on Windows 10 and fast transfer photos from iPhone to PC without iTunes. 👀They're giving away 1-year license here: www.winxdvd.com/ios-android-mobile/transfer-photos-from-iphone-to-pc.htm?ttref=21ytbmg-may-techy-p Try it out!
So I found out why this is happening in the first place!!! If you're using Iphone to then upload onto pc, it's because your Iphone camera is in "High Efficiency mode" for photos. Hence the "heif/heic/hevc". Anyways to change this you go to your settings, camera settings, formats, and you'll see it's probably on "High Efficiency" change it to "Most Compatible" it says under it that *most compatible* will always save as JPEG/ H.264 High efficiency will always save as HEIF/HEVC hope this helps!
I have just converted all of my 1700 HEIC files to JPEG using what I learnt from watching your video. I am running Windows 10. So happy, thank you very much.
From Boston USA thank you so much my friend. I have been trying to fix the images I had for almost 2 days now. I watched a ton of videos, cleaned up my computer, deleted one drive from windows, and did many crazy things trying to fix this problem, but to no avail. But with your great video it only took 2 minutes to fix it with the app you provided, Again thank you so much and god bless.
I took photos on my iPhone 11 and uploaded them to pc. I didn't realise they were HEIC files until I wanted to upload one onto Twitter. But, all I needed to do was open the photo in Windows 10, click Edit & Create, click Edit, click Save a Copy. I renamed the photo and Windows 10 automatically saved it as a JPG. End of problem and no need to download or use any external (virus carrying) software.
That can work! Thanks for sharing this one Valerie, didn't know about this trick during the making of this vid. Hope this helps those who don't want to use third party software EDIT: Actually, this won't work for everyone as a codec must be installed for Windows 10 Photos to be able to edit or even open the heic with the "Edit & Create" some might get this to work but some will get the error "We're having trouble opening this file for editing."
@@TECHYDOOD Absolutely correct, it doesn't work for me, "Save a Copy" is not accessible when the "We're having trouble opening this file for editing" message is displayed. Sounds nice Valerie but it didn't work for me.
This was very well done. I am OK with understanding some aspects of technology but couldn't figure out how to do this on my own on my HP Pavillion laptop. Thank you so much for creating this easy-to-understand video! Thorough but brief!
Thank you. Finally! This was about to be the last straw on my iPhone having just come from android and having no other apple products. For everyone else, you can change the setting on your iPhone to no longer take HEIC photos just FYI. May take up more space but it's worth it in my case.
As of February 2023, the interface has already been modified. Images that have been saved on a computer or laptop cannot be converted. An apple device must be connected in order to be used. So, will you kindly create an updated video for HEIC conversion?
Hello there, I have a .heic file that contains a slideshow of images to be used as a Dynamic wallpaper. Upon conversion to jpg, will I still be able to use it as a Dynamic Wallpaper/ Slideshow?
This worked perfect!! Great video you saved me a lot of time and frustration since I use many photos for my job and needed this help real bad lol. Thanks again!!!
Thank you so much initially I found a free software, which allowed only files to be converted at a time I had to convert 717 files thank you done in a click.
This works the problem is if your using a computer at work your blocked from using these 3rd party apps. It's terrible that in this advanced age with all kinds of programs and apps, something like this is not compatible with Windows.
will be useful to add a link to a website with the program and compressed this content to one minute especially these days when everybody is busy but maybe I'm not a targeted group otherwise it was helpful. Thank you
