Keep in mind, that Input Lag IS JUST the first item to the big picture, in the end what really matters is the END-TO-END System latency. For example, if you game runs at 60fps. You will have at least a random delay between 0 - 16,6ms in the rendering phase, which occurs before the phase which the monitor updates the image.

on hidusb do not use the poling rate at 1000 on xbox controller, because it creates problems of very variable input variations (as seen from video time 11.58) which give more problems of instability on the aim, I use poling rate at 500 and I am fine with stable 3ms latency try it for yourself

thanks for the tips! by the way, DS4Windows automatically logs (it's on the last tab) the data if the latency is more than the threshold you set. using the XInput Poll Rate checker is fine but is almost unnecessary unless you want to track every single input in separate instances.

there is a problem with the ds4 and it is that it accelerates the joystick on the horizontal axis, it is noticeable especially on the right when u are moving the camera or pointing with a weapon... any idea how to solve it????

I’m using this for custom buttons on vanguard. Only one problem though, I use Dynamic curve in game on vanguard and linear on the DS4 windows is causing a conflict of interest…any way to fix this?

3.95ms before optimising. 3.95 after. 10 out of 10 would recommend. All joking aside, you're videos are great, I love the pacing, the explanations are spot on, and mostly they do help. In this instance I was already as good as it would get. Keep the good work man.

@@johnnygregorio7200 nice! I used to have a scuf on my 360 back in the day. Struggle to justify the money these days... I want to go PS5 as Xbox controllers apparently have a larger dead zone that can't be fixed with software so are less precise with fine movements, especially for shooters. But I love the xbox layout so am struggling to justify swapping it out 🙄

I was surprised the ps5 controller had a lower latency, apparently the Xbox series x controller is supposed to have some lo latency technology included that should give it the edge. I'd love to swap over to the ps5 controller with all of its great features but I've used the xbox one for most of my life I really don't know if I could get used to the stick orientation.

ps controller > xbox IMO for the simple fact that when u claw on a ps controller your thumb never leaves the joysticks, I can't stand clawing the dpad on an xbox controller its so awkward, using the index to control the stick while using your thumb to hit the dpad.

This whole situation is frustrating. I don\t get why it's so hard to use a controller on a pc. I have a wired xbox one controller that is shown in my devices as connected but nowhere else. Not in steam, or parsec, or anywhere else. It does show up in my ps2 emulator but that's the only place. What am I doing wrong? I'm tired of spending hours trying to my controller to be detected even though its connected.

xinput doesnt work for me. i use a standard ps4 controller plugged in to my pc and on all 3 xinput opions none of them work. i've tried switching the emulated controller between xbox and ps4 and none of them work. it just says "Error ! - XBOX 360 Controller Not Found!"

Hey idk if you figured it out yet but i had the same problem but in the "controllers" tab look for "selected profile" which is next to the "link profile/ID" tab and put it from default to ps4

I have been chasing my tail for 3 days trying to get my xbox controller to work on for a game that lacks innate support. I have tried the steam big picture options (its a steam game) and 4 different controller mapping softwares. None of them work. And I know its not the controller because it works fine with everything that has innate controller support. Its always the same. I get to some part in the tutorial(s) where whats on my screen doesnt match theirs. In this case when i press "start" it doesn't detect the controller, despite the fact that the computer definitely detects it. Why is this so damn hard?
