So, Ron-Ron, I am a whole month late on this, but, Bruh, seriously consider having your own "Build Stuff With Me" segment on this channel! LOL! Seriously, speaking for myself, I love work working and crafts and it's been truly inspiring and entertaining watching you build this mini cabinet box! What else has the good Lord blessed you with!? LOL! Even if you never do this, definitely, entertain the thought! I love the stuff you build and Justine surely is blessed to have a husband-to-be that was gifted with the works of his hands!

I was enjoying watching how skilled Ron is at building the primitive box, but I was laughing worriedly at how close to the edge of the table the glue bottle was dancing toward with each little tappy tappy! 😅

Hi Ron & Justine! Hope you're both doing well. Maybe some day Ron; might you think it practical in perhaps making a Wooden Stool for Justine? That way; she'll have something to sit on at hearthside while she's cooking & she won't have to squat or sit on the floor.💗

That looks lovely. Justine lives it I bet. My grandfather who was Spanish, was a fisherman, he also built his own trawlers. When they emigrated to Australia he brought his tools and made his fishing boat. I have his tools and many of them were handed down to him by his father. He also made many of his own tools because he couldn't get the ones he needed here in South Australia. My grandfather was born in 1903 so some of the tools are very old. I really wish he was around longer as he passed away when I was very young. My mother was the last baby of 12, so her parents were nearly 50 when she was born. I don't use his tools but I do love having them, even a ratty old paint brush 😊

@firesideclassics

I always think that the true mark of a craftsman is being able to just eyeball measurements, and it turns out right anyhow. As a budding seamstress myself, I felt so proud of myself when I started being able to do things like pinch out a one inch dart by eye and feel while fitting, and then go to measure it and it was almost perfect! Of course it's always good (and sometimes necessary of course) to measure, but knowing that you have the ability to do it free hand is awesome. Well done Ron, that little cupboard looks wonderful! And I think dark green would be a lovely color to paint it, to match the corner shelves by the fireplace. Some little yellow flowers round the edges would match nice too! I don't know if Justine has much in the way of jewelry, but I was thinking what a pretty jewelry box one of those would make if you laid it down on it's back. I guess you would have to make some kind of little ledge inside so the door wouldn't fall in, but you're so clever at these things I'm sure you could. :)

My mother had a pie safe, full cabinet size, with four beautiful punched-tin doors. I don't have room for a cabinet, but maybe you could do a video on one that might fit on a modern kitchen counter? I could imagine it next to my bread box... 😆 I look forward to whatever woodworking projects you'll show us all in future videos!
