How about AGS, Bonnie?

I recently got an IGI certified Marquise (2.1 carats, F, VS2) and I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW HUGE the marquise cuts make the diamond look… why is this? Is it due to proportions?

I got my GIA years ago, but going back and starting to sell in 2024, I dunno. Private, maybe, to the public at my age. I dunno.

The 4Cs was established by GIA. Out of the 4 Cs the most important C is the CUT. This is the only C that can be mathematically quantified and is also the only C when performed by a master artisan can outperform a bigger carat, higher clarity and a cleaner color. Cut is the King. Because of this GIA was simply not sufficient to provide the required quantified data. Thus AGS was formed to clearify the most important aspect of the four Cs. Both GIA and AGS is formed by Robert M. SHIPLEY. However the rest of the 4Cs GIA is still the most strict graduator. But now that GIA has fulyl absorbed AGS and all its IP nobody comes close. GIA and AGS is the best you can get. All the rest is just second class. Look at IGI they work closely with walmart to purge in cheap good profitable rocks for the average consumer. Its just not the same league.
