🔴 ATOMIC RADIUS - Trends in Periodic Table || Chemistry for Class 11 in HINDI

In this Chemistry video in Hindi we explained the trend in the atomic radius in periodic table. As we move from left to right in the periodic table the atomic radius, in the same period, reduces. And as we move from top to bottom in a group, the atomic radius increases. When we move from left to right the positive charge in the nucleus increases, hence the atomic radius reduces. When we move down a group, as the principal quantum number increases the electron comes in a new shell, hence the atomic radius increases.
We also talked about the ionic radius. For cation it reduces and for anion it increases. For isoelectronic species, the entity with higher number of protons has the less ionic radius.

Hi Arijit!! Your videos are always great. But I think, the video got shortened and Ionic radius and Inert gas radius got cropped. Can u pls check and update... I was watching for mainly those.. also Lanthanide contraction.

Hello My question is that The whole chemistry is fully based on electrons. As we know that all the electrons have the same properties and even their mass but if an element consist 11 electrons ( E. C. - 2,8,1) then we call it as NA but why is it like that ?? I hope I would get ans from u sir GOOD DAY
