I've always told my Son that men who get tattoos are trying to convey that they are tough guys, which they usually aren't and woman get tattoos to convey that they are loose, which they usually are. I was in the military. I was working the 2nd shift and in charge of a crew of about 10. The shift was from 3:00pm to 11:00pm. The dayshift officers and admin staff went home by 5:00pm. A female one rank below me said she had something going on at home and asked me if she could go home early by 9:00pm. I bit my tongue and said ok. It was quiet that evening and then I covered my job and her last two hours. Well the next day at 2:50pm the one Major told me that, that same female worker called earlier and told them to tell me she was going to be late and be in about 5:00pm. I immediately semi blew up and told that Major what happened. She was called by this officer and put in her place, and she did not do this again.

I have always had a problem with girls getting tattoos. Now, I would say I dislike all tattoos, but years of life have made it even more of a thing to dislike for me. I joke about it more now, to relieve the stress.

I dated an older woman with 7 tattoos. A small on her wrist, ankle and bikini line. 1 on the back of her neck. A tramp stamp, 1 over her heart, behind the ear, back of neck and a huge portrait across her back. In her own words, she has a team of doctors keeping her alive and she takes about 5 pills a night. None of that last part is due to her tattoos. Stay away.
A female coworker covered in tattoos said she couldn’t pay her tattoo artist so she gave him her car. She had a scar on her neck and told all of us over lunch a crazy story about her being held at knife point. 🔪 and even got a knife tattoo. Later she admitted her neck scar was actually from cancer surgery bc she smokes & drinks like a fish drinks water and still does even after the cancer surgery. I view it as an outward sign of depression and self loathing. Its shocking to me how many otherwise pretty girls are inked up. Once in a while you'll see a high end, cohesive design and it looks nice. Most look like random stuff drawn with a Sharpie. Most of them are bad.

My ex girlfriend had four big ones and she was totally insane. I suspect she was a narcissist as she would blow up over very slight things and not take. An apology as being sincere. It seems more than random but I will say if I see ink I would never ask her out. I'm do fairly well getting dates. I'm tall, doctoral degree, high six figure income and 7 figures in savings, trained chef, 8" and honest predisposition. I was also in a punk rock band and have been employed since the age of 12. The idea of permanent graffiti on your skin, on purpose, with the belief that this will not generate regret is the definition of low intelligence. Look at highly successful educated intelligent human beings, these tend to be the non inked and likewise prefer others of like mind. Getting ink forces you into a lower social order based on criteria that actually matter. I've never met anyone who does not have at least some regret for getting a tattoo. There was a study published revealing that people with tattoos are more likely to be promiscuous, smokers, abuse substances, and have mental health issues. No surprises there.
