I was vegan 30+yrs (don’t hate me!) and getting sicker. Went to a naturopath specialist in hashimotos who put me on Dr Furman’s plants only diet. While I was getting sicker, the doc’s instruction was basically “plant harder”. After 4 years, I bailed & discovered carnivore & have lost 40 pounds, healed my hashi & am thriving!

How long did it take you to heal hashis? I also have hashimotos and am on levo. Right now I have almost 4 months carnivore and have seen my antibodies cut in half, hoping for more reduction in antibodies and for my thyroid to start working better to at least reduce the meds.

@ amethyst feathers Watch more Dr's Berry and Chaffee. They say it in this video....I myself do it and find that many scroll while watching a video. Stop scrolling and asking the crowd and watch the doctors. Turn off comments and watch. Not to be offensive. I force myself to listen only when new info is coming on board. Also, Dr. Elizabeth Bright is a good follow for ALL THINGS THYROID. She recommends an 70-80/20-30 fat to protein red meat diet. Pans out to a stick of butter to pound of meat (not lean). Hope this helps, best of luck. Carnivore heals. Ex-vegan here.

The carnivore diet gave me instant intestinal relief. I had a foot of my intestines removed. The doctor told me I won’t ever have this problem again , eat whatever I want. Well three years later it was back. A month ago I went carnivore and I don’t plan ever going off.

About six years ago before carnivore, a friend gave me a bunch of barbequed beef ribs which were very delicious...and I ate a lot of them on a Saturday. Come Monday while at work, I had a very urgent and sudden need to find a toilet -- a stomach ache I used to call it. Looking back, it was from eating carbs with all the beef ribs, because now that never happens and I eat a lot of meat.

If fiber is essential I've been dead almost two years. I feel better, look better, AM better, than ever. So NO, fiber is NOT essential. P.S. My nutrition text book doesn't have a chapter on essential fiber, like it does for essential amino acids and essential fatty acids. Nor does it have a chapter on essential carbohydrates / sugars. As I understand it that is fine since my body can make any and all the glucose I need at any time. Thanks for the video. Cheers! :)

I battle moderate to severe RA. I did 90 days of the "Lion's diet." I did it as the ultimate elimination protocol. It was so good! I began to add appropriate proper human diet items back very slowly and definitely had issues with pork and chicken. In weight (though I hate the scale) I've lost 103 pounds going from clean keto to Carnivore to Lion back to mostly Carnivore sometimes more "Ketovore." As soon as I have a reaction like accidentally being exposed to seed oils I go right back to the Lion's diet for a bit. In this journey I was able to give away the cane and walker. I'm now working with a trainer for strength twice a week. I still have a slight limp with some joint deformity but I'm going for life! 62 years young. You only fail if you quit. I wound up in the hospital in Jan 2022 because I thought I was having a heart attack. It turns out it was just the worst acid reflux I had ever experienced. I was on PPI drugs for close to 20 years for GERD, and even still, I experienced heart burn every single day. Doctors told me heartburn was caused by overconsumption of fat. My diet mainly consists of fat/protein and I do not get heartburn… and I think when doctors hear that and it goes against everything they say, they refuse to believe it. I can have one piece of pizza (yes I indulge once a year) and that heartburn and the memories of my previous life come back.

There were outbreaks of hundred of years old disease of Scurvy. e.g. 2002 in West Afghanistan 2016 in Sydney, Australia Both these two MDs use the lie of Evolution to promote Carnivore diet. If based on evolution, humans evolved from primates, why are humans and primates unable to synthesise Vit C from glucose while carnivores like lions and tigers can? Apes and monkeys must eat fruits to get their Vit C "Their heads we win tails you lose" arguments are really shameful & apalling!

No gas, no bloating. I slept through the night. But then running out of money and needed to stretch the meat, I added back in some rice and pasta. Stinky Gas, painful bloating. Getting up many times at night to pee. I wasn’t concerned as this is the normal way on the ca ca diet. But I was excited to see the difference. I know that’s only a small difference but that’s all in one month! So it’s huge to me

@@leannelollypop1869 hmm, I think I’ll do that. I save the tallow for the pan and for dipping sauce with my meats. Chicken fat is my favorite. Idk y. I buy butter for taste and once in a while I’ll steal a bite of it..l guess I’ll bite more into it. Thank you. Also, if I can afford it, I buy 120 eggs. Lol, love the yoke so much. I no longer like the taste of almost all the foods I use to eat. I still like corn but don’t eat it. I still like sweet peas but don’t eat it. I buy pasta and rice because they are cheapest and long shelf life for when I’m struggling to fill the plate. I actually don’t like either of them.

@leannelollypop1869 24 дня назад
@@HoneyBeeCrafts good luck. If you can stomach sardines in brine they’re very filling/satiating. When I need to eat more cheaply I eat eggs only meals. 4 or 5 at a time. I can survive on 8 eggs a day and bone broth as a hot drink. I make my own and add salt and butter. It’s wonderful you can buy so many eggs at once! I’ve seen homesteaders on RU-vid share the water glassing method to give eggs a longer shelf life. I buy food to store or freeze when I have money, so I can go to the reserves to see me through when times are tough. Cost of living is expensive in Australia. Meat is expensive. I buy slabs of meat and cut them into steaks myself. I love chicken wings. I can appreciate your love for chicken fat! Another cheap meal option :) I’m 18 months in and don’t eat as much as I did initially. I think in the beginning my body was healing and I needed much bigger portions. Double portions and butter on top. Women’s cells need 40% more fat than men’s cells, to regulate our hormones, so don’t be scared to heap the fat on. If you have too much your bowel movements will be very loose and you’ll know to back off.

@@leannelollypop1869 thanks. Yeah in USA. Or at least in my state, my Walmart sells these big boxes of 60 eggs. I’ve never seen them until I moved to this state. They use to cost 2x a normal dozen price. Now they cost 3x the normal dozen price. But still cheaper than buying 5 separate dozens. This amount of eggs last me almost two months. I’m trying to work on buying 3 of those boxes so I can avoid being at the store any longer lol. I think it would be fabulous to buy slabs of meat and cut my own steaks too. I just recently started going to a butcher for my meats because I found out my stores are lying about the weight. It cost 17$ for a pound and a few ounces of steak. When I weigh it, it doesn’t come close to the written weight. On all the meats I was buying. But if I go to the butcher to get that same amount I’ll get very close to 3 pounds. And it’s actually a few Pennies cheaper per pound. I know buying the whole cow is cheaper.. maybe I’ll look for a butcher that deals with bigger meat sales. Mine does not. I eat about 4 eggs a meal cooked in tallow. I cut my London broil steaks into 1x1x3-4 inches. So they just look like short tubes of steaks. I eat one of those at a time. Sometimes I cook one up with my eggs and dip the steak in the yoke. Oh the butcher also does shaved meat. Like for steak and cheese sandwiches. It’s so much cheaper buying it fresh than buying the meat in those steak -um boxes. Which is fake meat anyway. Ugh so good. I like my meat still pink. Throw that meat on the pan for 30 seconds on high heat. Lightly salted..Quick snack lol. It’s butter or shaved meat when I think I might fall off the wagon.

I am a 79-year-old male; when I was 54, I cured my ulcerative colitis by going on an Atkins carnivorish diet. It doesn't happen instantly, but give it 90 to 180 days, and it will be gone or significantly improved. My case was so severe that it took about 6 to 8 months before it was gone. My doctor was angry with me and dropped me as a patient because I refused to take his medication 22 years ago, and I have not had a problem. The only thing I have changed is increased good, healthy fats and Protein. About 70% fat and 30% protein. Also, my gout, which I have suffered from since I was in my mid-30s, is not better; it's gone. That didn't happen until I changed the ratio of fat to Protein. Much of what I thought was gout was plantar fasciitis, and once the veteran's hospital got me the proper inserts for my shoes, 90% of what I thought was gout disappeared; the other 10%, I believe, was caused by things like high fructose corn syrup. It doesn't take much! Dr. Berry, one of your best talks, explains what I have done wrong over the years. I have noticed that some of the best advice comes from doctors who are not tied to institutions or clinics and must follow a standard of care regimen. Once they're out on their own and feel much more free about what they say, the smart ones like Dr. Berry give the best advice. The proof in the pudding is if what they say works, especially over time. That's about as good of evidence as you can ever get!

Depression from being in pain most of the time? Gone. No energy? Gone. Seized up and swollen legs, knees and hands? Gone. I love dr.berry and he’s on point 95% of the time. I just can’t say fiber and carbohydrate in any form is part of a proper human diet outside of trying to put on fat within a month using fructose for a few days a year and even then that would be to not starve thru a winter without success in the hunt ( in the land of abundance it is nice to have this metabolic pathway still available just in case. ) He says it’s a spectrum, fair enough, but that doesn’t mean that ppl who can tolerate something better than others means it’s appropriate for optimal health outcome. Any amount of fiber or carb is going to cost you down the road. That said I’m not telling anyone how to live, just don’t think that any plant or sugar is not harmful. My two cents

I wish my Mom could have gone on carnivore. She had 18 inches of colon removed for precancerous polyps and then a couple months later had hemorrhoid surgery. These consecutive surgeries nearly killed her. She developed dementia and died about 8 years later due to diabetes most likely and eating all the wrong foods for years - fruits, veggies, grains, and seed oils slow killed her. Went to her grave thinking she had to have fiber. A few months before she died she developed another golf ball sized external hemorrhoid that she had surgically removed. Her life at last was uncomfortable at best.

Carnivore for 11 months. Lost 35 lbs but lost my gallbladder 5 months ago by emergency. Was doing fine on ketovore until this weekend when I just started bile dumping out of the blue. Everything I ate I ran to the toilet for 2 whole days. I had no choice I needed to ingest a binder so I took Metamucil to bulk up the bile dumping which works otherwise I couldn't go anywhere outside the house. I started taking super enzymes and probiotics. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Some people do great without a gallbladder some people don't. I'll also be taking a Fibre supplement to get this bile dumping under control. Lower fats too. Wish me luck.

When eliminating fiber completely, I felt like a new person completely. I had mild GERD for 15 years, and it never has even once returned since going ketovore over a year ago. I never experience bloat like I used to when eating those famous "whole grains" the dieticians on tv loved to push as being amazing for you. Dairy from full fat Greek yogurt did cause joint inflammation early on when doing ketovore, but as soon as I eliminated it, the inflammation went away and has never returned. I can consume a little butter and cheese fine every day, but the yogurt I will always avoid since I knew it caused joint inflammation.

Answer is YES. Fibers are essential, especially if you carry bad pathogens, and this is meant to flush out the bowels along with giving your gut some rest, because meat and protein are longer and harder for the gut to process, hence why on a carnivore diet you take days to go to the bathroom. I had a parasitic infection for years which no doctor diagnosed, and it was giving me lots of discomfort to the point where my health was extremely impeded. I realised depending on the type of food I was eating that my condition was either worsening or had no effect on my condition. After I began developing arthritis that’s when I panicked, and I carefully studied what I was eating and found out that fibers was the culprit, and a few weeks later I jumped into a carnivore diet before finding out butter, eggs and crustaceans gave me flare ups on my skin, so I cut everything down to just beef, so basically a lion diet. My digestive issues resolved very quickly, arthritis was gone under 2 weeks and I haven’t felt joint pain ever since, I no longer had chronic diarrhea, this also took about 2 weeks, I slept better, quit snoring, my gums didn’t bleed anymore after brushing my teeth, I had a lot of energy I had not felt for about 10 years, and I had a very clear mind overall; the later took only a few days to disappear, and clearance of mind happened on the 3rd day. I have been following the lion diet for well over 1.5 years at this point, but psoriasis still lingering around, and kind of worsening I had to make changes, and that’s when I realised that I should try eating fibers again after all this time. And to my surprise, in over 5-6 years I have not had diarrhea since I started eating fibers again. Clearly, eating only meat for a while repaired my gut, but the problem is that meat takes a long time to process and that I felt bloated all the time, and even feeling very sluggish after every meal, which shouldn’t be. I’m not kidding, it’s been almost a week since I’ve started eating fibers again and I have 0 adverse effect on my health, on the contrary, now I sleep even better, and the most important thing: I finally have signs of my psoriasis starting to fade. I’m gonna say this : having lived it myself, I believe a regimen of meat alone will repair damaged tissues, cut down inflammation significantly, resolve a plethora of inflammatory issues, and overall makes you healthier, but then there is a time when you need to realise if you’ve been following this diet for a long time, and that you still have no real improvement about something in particular that it is time to reintroduce eating some fibers, which are easy for the body to digest and will literally cleanse your insides by scratching off and flushing out bad pathogens, bad bacteria or residue inside of your colon. There is no debate about the effect of fibers. Too much fiber all the time will damage your gut lining, no fiber ever will leave your colon with residue. Do not even try to debate, meat alone takes the gut 48-72 hours to process, I’ve been living it for well over a year. Protein is a lot of work for the body to process. I believe in meat being the basis and foundation of the human diet, no other thing is healthier for the body to maintain weight, shake off visceral fat, heal arthritis, mucus related inflammation, anemia and mental health, but then you need fibers every once in a while to cleanse yourself out. I believe in balance, too much of one thing can become toxic and I realised only eating meat was just becoming toxic to my body. I was only eating grass fed and finished ribeye and tomahawk steaks along with calf liver once a week, NOTHING ELSE THE SKY IS MY WITNESS, nothing else to drink other than water too, and I’ve seen all other symptoms resolve, but not the psoriasis, the bloating and the extreme sluggishness after every meal, so then I knew I needed to make a change, and now that my insides are repaired it’s time for the medicine, and medicine has always been about plants, not meat. I think plants are a great natural kind of chemotherapy, hence why so many people heal of many things on a vegan diet, it makes you weaker, it attacks the immune system naturally, calories in calories out but leave little to no residue, but then people go all in thinking only eating plants is the way to live, and then in the long run they get sick, and that’s because we need to balance things out, the body needs animal protein without a doubt, there is no debate whatsoever about this neither. Too much plants will f you up, and too much meat will also f you up. Eating less and what you need is the way to go, so stop with the childish war. Everything exists for a reason. Eat meat until you feel better, meat will repair damaged organs, but then eat some plants every now and again, that’s what is literally healing me right now, so whatever you might say, I trust what my body tells me over the words of any man and regardless of if they have a doctorate diploma given 20 years ago, I don’t care about status and I hope the time I took to share a bit of my story helps someone out there who gets confused by 2 different speeches, and who after trying both still have issues. Peace exists in the middle, in the balance of things, always, so stop with the aggression, stop with the one way speech, there is balance to even things out and resolve all ailments, and it is by eating what you need, which in some cases people have an extreme deficiency in b12, zinc and vitamin d, and on the other side you also have people who have deficiency in vitamin c, carry bacteria, pathogens and residue in their colon which makes them sick likewise, so eat meat, but remember to eat plants too, I think it’s pretty easy to understand. A carnivore diet, or even better I think, a lion diet, will heal you in many ways, but then you will need some fibers every now and then, I am almost certain of it, because again, I’m a living proof of fibers doing me good as I speak. Everybody is different because we all have different problems or health issues. I know a lot of people claimed to have healed of everything with a carnivore diet. Guess what ? You were not eating enough animal protein and lacking specific nutrients only animals carry. But in most cases, it’s actually eating junk that caused the issues. All the big sacks want to blame plants, but actually they were indulging in junk processed foods around the clock. I know a lot of people who claimed to have healed of everything with a vegan diet. See the pattern here ? Either someone is lying, or it’s simply a question of balance, that the latter was lacking specific nutrients and vitamins too, a good cleansing of their insides that only fibers can take care of. Don’t get caught up in the war and mind games, listen to your body, eat meat and eat plants with balance. If you’re overweight, have inflammatory issues, you lack protein and obviously eat too much junk and processed foods. If you’re weak, you need protein, but if you have a skin issue in particular, if after eating only meat for a long time you still have the issue lingering around, don’t be stupid, cut the protein, cut the processed foods too obviously, and eat some fibers only for a while to cleanse yourself, see the result. 👍

I'll have been carnivore for four months in about 5 days. I didn't weigh when I started but I've dropped at close to 60 lbs from what I was telling everyone... I'm sure I was bigger and the weight loss may be closer to 80 pounds with no exercise. I was highly inflamed, having difficulty breathing, felt like I was at deaths door, and everything was aching. I'm still tired all the time, have severe knee and back pain, but overall I'd say my health is improving. I'm hoping to heal Hashimoto's, autoimmune gastritis, and gastroparesis. I've learned what I can eat, all beef currently, but I have to be careful of too much rendered fat or I do feel sick. I know Hashimoto's and the gastritis might take years to heal, or even improve. I treated my body terribly for many decades so I can't expect immediate results, though it is frustrating seeing other have immediate results and me not seeing similar. I used to eat chicken all the time, but not anymore. I don't feel satiated and sometimes it just sits on my stomach. The same with eggs. I gave up pork probably 20 years ago, with no desire to pick it back up. I'm looking to try some lamb soon to see how I do with that.

Been carnivore for two months. Bloating and stomach issues all gone. Recently i've added one cup of frozen fruit immediately after I lift weights (I lift every day) for a controlled insulin spike and protein sparing (gluconeogenesis) and to accompany a dose of L carnitine tartrate/EAA's. About 20g carbs and a little fiber in a gluten free supplement form. This has helped with the other stomach issues that seem to accompany a high fat diet for me. Frozen fruit because its frozen while ripe (minimal defense chemicals). No grain, no vegetables, no dairy, no seed oil and no honey with the hadzas. Probably average 15 grams of fiber daily. No bloating. Seems about perfect.

I'm not bleeding anymore...that seems like a worthy accomplishment.

What I have found is every time a doctor prescribes a certain medication which was developed to help a certain ailment, you always get a form that comes with it to describe the list of side effects that are brought on by taking the medication. This is a vicious circle. You go from one ailment to having a possibility of multiple.

I had a Colonoscopy 10 days ago and it is clean as a whistle...but I swear the doctor and the nurses in the room had a party in there because I was sore the next day. The best part as always was the propofol.

I had insomnia in the beginning of my carnivore journey but it got better over time. It happens intermittently now. I found a few things helpful: Eating brown butter bites before bed. Rising early to get sunrise light on my face and in my eyes to reset my internal clock, winding down 2 hrs before bed with no screen time, only low light, relaxation activities and cutting out caffeine. Make sure you up your fat intake which helps sort out hormones and brain chemicals. There are many good you tube videos on this topic...do a good seach.❤

I've always been a great sleeper but after I went more animal-based (2018) I started to have poor sleep. One solution I learned about was to eat some carbs (not too much) close to bedtime. I certainly wasn't going to eat a bagel or pasta but I figured a small amount of fruit could work. So I would eat about 1.5 oz (about 40 grams) of blueberries about an hour before going to sleep. It worked!

For me, 2000mg of taurine, 8000IU of vitamin D and 500mg of magnesium (all an hour or so before bed) has got me sleeping better. Good luck - I hope you get this sorted soon.

Saw a podcast w/2 Dr’s talking about their college days when Dean talking to the med students. Saying , that half of what we will teach you will probably be wrong, the problem is we don’t know which half. There in lies the PROBLEM!

71 yo f on carnivore/ ketovore 1 year. IBS- D symptoms for 43 years. In less than 1 month symptoms gone- if I had only known to stop all the fiber we’ve been told is so important for us. I have no more have acid reflux, back pain decreased by 80%… A friend I hadn’t seen in a while said that I look 15 years younger and that my mood is ‘sparkly’ now! I like the 15 years younger part. Lab values- well my trigs is 66 and HDL is 86;my LDL is just above 290; which my doctor gets emotional b about when i saw her this month. The only thing that hasn’t come down yet is my hgA1c. Last 6.0, time before 5.7. Don’t understand since I’m low carb 0-5 grams/d.

I've been watching you on and off at for a few years now. Early on? You used to be as red as a lobster. Kind of puffy looking? I really thought you were wrong. But I look at you now? You've normalized and you look younger! Possibly as much as a decade. Kudos to you. For sticking to your guns.
