Dr Anthony Chaffee is an American medical doctor and neurosurgical registrar who, over a span of 20+ years, has researched the optimal nutrition for human performance and health. It is his assertion that most of the so-called chronic diseases we treat are caused by the food we eat, or don't eat, and can be improved, and in some cases even reversed, with dietary changes to a species specific diet.
He began University at the age of 16 studying Molecular & Cellular Biology with a Minor in Chemistry, which culminated in an MD from the Royal College of Surgeons.
He is an All-American rugby player, former professional player in England and America, and has also trained in MMA fighting at AMC Kickboxing in Kirkland, Washington
More recently, he volunteered as a doctor in the refugee camps in Bangladesh, helping the survivors of the 2017 genocide in Burma of the Rohingyan people.

Carnivore or keto does not work for gout. Just had another bodybuilder contact me and tell me they got gout. He is only 40 years old. It is common sense that meat is higher in purines and it takes a long time for your kidneys to fully process meat. Meat causes the kidney strain so it's no wonder that it ranks in the top 5 gout triggers. Try eating 80% of your daily calories as complex carbohydrates such as fresh vegetables, legumes, some fruit, 100% whole grain breads, pastas and rice. Eat mostly beans for protein. 10% of your daily calories can be protein such as chicken breast, turkey, fish, lean red beef and lamb. Avoid pork, processed meats like sausages and hot dogs, avoid all seafood as well like lobster, shrimp and crab for example. Finally, eat 10% of your daily calories as fat like milk, cheese, yogurt, butter, eggs and so on. Drink only water, herbal teas and coffee. Avoid processed foods like snack bars, cookies, cereals etc... Do not fry your food. Only boil it or bake it in the oven. BBQ meat is fine too. Cook only with 100% extra virgin olive oil. Do not use corn oil, vegetable oil, canola or other types of oil that are toxic to your health. Finally, supplement your gout diet with Nutrigout which helps cleanse the kidneys. Good luck!
while watching this video i was drinking a icedcoffe with milk (greek frappe) then suddenly he starts talking about chopping off limbs and toes because of this.
I'm reporting: Spreading misinformation. The evil Cattle Industry's propaganda. I'm sick and tired of The War on Vegetables, The War on Fruits, The War on Grains, The War on Soy, The War on Nightshades, The War on Corn, The War on Bread, The War on Rice, The War on Pasta, The War on Legumes, The War on Beans, The War on Nuts ...
Seven months of eating only beef, bacon, eggs, butter, water, and salt, and I have not lost any weight. However, my body composition has changed tremendously. Visually, I have gained a significant amount of muscle mass on my arms, shoulders, and stomach. It appears I have replaced fat with muscle.
When I go all meat I am very lethargic, I added fruit back in and I feel great. I believe that every body is different it is not a one size fits all world.
????? Most doctors in Europe still claim that the consumption of red meat is causing cancer. (Not talking about side dishes or carbs, just red meat by itself). What is your stance on this????
Any suggestions how to fuel “high fat “ during endurance races like full iron man , full marathon or century bike rides? Avocado 🥑, meat 🥩, avocado 🥑, coconut oil, olive oil ….?
Animals in the wild do have crooked teeth, also both my dogs have crooked teeth. Also, he is describing genetics. If people don’t have to forage for hard roots and crush bones then those traits won’t be selected for anymore = genetics (evolution). Plus people with defects (crooked teeth, diabetes, etc) live longer than ever before because of modern hygiene and medicine.
Age 65Been carnivore for a year, just started working out with 25 yrs old . He has been very sore while I have had no pain at all even afte lifting heavy weights. I swear it's bc he eats the SAD diet .
@@johannesswillery7855 I don’t cook with vegetable oils anymore and I’ve started to slowly get rid of the processed foods (only struggle with bread and pasta at this stage but I’ll see if I can make it fresh form scratch with organic wheat or mill my own wheat) but I do buy them a weekly treat (cookies, cake etc) but we don’t keep any sugary or processed snacks at home. I’m telling myself to do things one step at a time I only just changed my diet in February 2024
@@Yaaae92 I started Jan 1 2020. I do make bread but I am cutting back on that as well. Getting rid of the items I listed has ended decades of chronic diarrhea. I've also experienced a crazy increase in energy to the point that I feared my blood pressure was out of control. It is a very healthy range and I feel thirty years younger. There are some great recipes on YT that are four ingredients. I use unbleached flour. Very simple with a Dutch oven and a LOT better for your kids than store bought bread.
Hi there! My kids are obligate carnivore but don't follow the "carnivore diet" anymore. I have a podcast dedicated to the topic of feeding your kids a meat-based diet. Come check it out and I hope the information helps you. It's called Mother Knows Best
30 years of fibromyalgia. Along with IBS, arthritis, skin problems, more than 10 years for anyone to even say fibromyalgia to me. I was accused of lying, etc. just treated horribly by doctors. Also other health issues. And developed degenerate disc disorder, fatty liver, prediabetic, extreme high blood pressure. All have gotten so much better since being keto and now mostly carnivore. And amazingly off all medications. Wish I had known this 30 years ago.
I'm 45, carnivore, following Mike Mentzer philosophy on training to fail and give time to recover and grow and I see unbelievable results on strength and mass.
Sorry but every time Dr Chaffe tried to state his points, Dr Cywes would interrupt. I agree that Dr Chaffee is a gracious host but Dr Cyews needs to be more open to hear the entire statement before contradicting it and controlling the convo. After the 2nd time I stopped listening to Dr cywes.

It was simply to illustrate the difference in people's approach to exercising. Arnold Schwarzenegger's approach of training twice a day, doing endless amounts of sets is fine if you're on the same anabolic cycle he was... Mike Mentzer was obviously on steroids, you can't compete at level if you're not, however his High Intensity Program and philosophy of training suits the natural, non-enhanced lifter. There's a clear difference between the 2 of them, Mike's use of steroids doesn't take away credibility from the fundamentals of his training philosophy that many people use and benefit from. Try finding a recognisable person from that industry that isn't on steroids. Had the creator of this video used Dave and Simon from down the local gym there would be someone else commenting saying "why are you showing random people?" 🤷🏼♂️
@@_LVC Here is a quote from an article where CBum actually discussed his on and off session cycle.... "CBum specifically refers to his regimen of 200mg to 500mg of synthetic testosterone per week, a known androgenic steroid, and notes that he takes breaks from all steroids at least annually. Additionally, he mentions using 1-2 other “compounds” during both off-season and contest preparation periods, typically other injectable agents for muscle building or cutting." You're on here chatting shit you know nothing about just for the sake of it I think 🤣
I just got out of the hospital for what was supposed to be a colon reduction but it was stopped when they found some nodules on my stomach. Now the oncologist wants to open my stomach & qoute" slosh some chemo in my stomach". But the main reason I'm posting is that I was told to eat whatever I wanted . I looked at the hospital menu & it was full of processed meats & sugary foods. At this point, I had about 60 hours of nothing but liquids & I was almost tempted to eat their crap but I felt great & not that hungry, so I waited until I got home & had me some bacon & eggs. I write this in order to let people know that I believe the carnivore diet that I've been on for about a month & I'm leaning to not getting this surgery & believing in the power of intermittent fasting & going on a strict carnivore diet. I cut out all processed foods, no sugar & no carbs.I'm 67 & I weigh 2lbs less than I did when I graduated bootcamp at Paris Island in 1978. Ifeel great & I think what we eat determines how healthy we will be.
India has only 40 percent vegetarians now, since most have shifted to meat eating. Mostly these people who are big meat-eaters get heart and diabetes conditions because they get no exercise. India gets no consistent exercise-vegetarians or non-vegetarians. Vegetarians don’t pay attention to what vegetarian food they are eating- so it’s carbohydrates rich and oily. If they just focused on protein rich plant sources and reduced oil consumption, the story would be different. So the culprit in India are two--1) Lack of Exercise 2) Having carb rich oily food instead of protein rich food. But the rule with protein rich food is again- exercise. If you are having lots of protein and no exercise, it would lead you to hospital. Plant based protein is easier to digest and excrete, than animal based protein due to presence of fibres in it already. If one is having meats, one needs to get the fibres from veggies, fruits etc for good excretion. Most of the non-vegetarians are fat and constipated due to lack of fibres. Your penchant for spreading carnivore diet is really a disservice to people. In the west, there is no sense of balance. People keep their own heads elsewhere and start following people blindly. So many will take your bullshit and follow you blindly here. Just like they did the Harvard scientists and doctors, who made masses cut fat and eat sugar till 2012 through the 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s. They were paid by the sugar lobby to deem fats as villians. Greedy doctors and scientists can go to any length to benefit themselves. They were not exposed for 50 years. The masses were following them and their so called research for 50 years. This is why science education is important. What is science? An exploration of nature to find out what can be used economically by humans towards our development and progress. Exploration. Thus science is never the last world. It’s ever changing with newer information. What trumps science each time? Experience of thousands of years through human trial and error. After all in science we record these trials and if it benefits even 40 percent of experimental sample, we deem it as mostly working. So eat what has been tried and tested for thousands of years, and get exercise like our ancestors did. Go to science to keep oiling yourself with age and in case of sickness. But in most cases, use your own mind, and eat balanced food. Most of the people I know on carnivore diet may be high profile, they exercise too, but are not emotionally calm/stable people. Food has effect on emotions and consequently productivity. Just like exercise. Why go on one kind of diets? Why not have a balanced plate? It’s this DESPERATION for some magical solutions that’s leading guys like this to set us on Atkins, Carnivore and god knows what diet. I also heard him say that a lot of vegetables are poisonous, in another interview. The meat industry has to pay someone to shift us back from the penchant to go vegan or vegetarian nowadays. Why not eat things which have been tried and tested through thousands of years of human existence? And why not trust your own body--what feels heavy? What gives me bloating? What gives indigestion? Which food makes me feel constipated? Which food triggers an allergy in me? Why not observe yourself and determine what works for me instead of following like herds. We all have different bodies. One diet or kind of diet is not good for everyone.
The simplest way to put it is it is acceptable to eat in one meal anything that contains less than 1-2 g of carbohydrates which adds more than 25% of sugars to your bloodstream but not 2 doughnuts adding 100 g of carbs = 2500% of your bloodstream sugars as it sends a shock to your insulin gradually making you insuline resistant.
