What a week for me. England win on penalties by Scoring 5 out of 5 pens which were majestic, Hamilton wins gb gp, England beat Holland in semi finals of euro 2024. Side note. 80 percent of my friends are Dutch 😂. I’m going to sleep well tonight. Bye guys!
Bellingham super hype job, he had no effect on the game as the others expect for a good sense of goal dude is useless. Southgate keeping Cole Palmer on the bench insanity. Cold Palmer must start always.
@@thesuperheroteacher6101 Dude, he might be playing badly for England for a while. He might be having a bad tournament in general. So what? That doesn't make someone a hype job. If you don't think he plays well for Real Madrid, you don't watch him play for Real Madrid. I mean look at Shevchenko at Chelsea. Something wasn't clicking. Does that mean that he's a hype job? Obviously not.
Southgate has got incrementally better throughout this tournament. He still frustrates, but it’s like he’s beginning to learn the value of his squad. I think back to the horror show of the Euro 2020 final, & I cannot see Southgate sitting on his hands in quite the same way if we are in a critical situation in the latter stages of the game. Bellingham’s star quality is rubbing off on the team, they play with more confidence and focus than I’ve seen.
@@monkey39128 ‘learning on the job’, exactly. He’s had some sobering lessons. That Croatia semi final and final against Italy were like a teenager facing the final boss for the first time on his Nintendo
@@michaelcox8820 Yeah it wasn't great. I support him most of the time but even I had to admit he looked out of his depth in the Italy game. The Croatia one I have a bit more sympathy because the players should've buried them in the first half. Be interesting to see how he handles Spain. I suspect if we lose it won't be because of him, it'll just be because Spain are an excellent team.
Your right and your wrong. Yes the Dutch packed the midfield sat and played the counter game. But city face that nearly every week in the prem, its on you to break down a team that sits back, to open them up, stretch them, find gaps and create chances. We are no good at breaking down the opposition when they sit, luckily Spain won't have this ethos but I fear they have a better team than us, not individuals but team and tactically more astute than us and southgate...
@@PJR29787 we won the game and Saka got one diss aloud. Southgate was slow to react, Kane didn’t sit up top a la Weghorst but were never 2nd best. Negativity from Dutch dictated second half… England won in 90 mins City don’t play knockout football every week, not a comparison risk is far greater here
Mainoo is quietly soo important to England and Uniteds future success... this guy is the english inesta.... heard it here first, i just prey united get stronger so this guy can blossom and get we get best from him.... 3 months ago united didnt have a single player in team except mayb Maguire but turns out Mainoo n Shaw have been really important... imagine Shaw scores 2 euro finals in a row, gotta be a first, a defender scoring in 2 finals in a row
Absolutely false. It was crying out for changes. They were overdue. If he hadn’t made those subs then he should have been shot. You could easily argue that Watkins should have started over Kane anyway
We all have our opinions and in reality he's brought us to our second final in three tournaments. We showed how we can outplay Spain in first half tonight
I'm an England fan...born and bred there, but I'm also a realist. Southgate was overrated as a player, and overrated as a manger. We've gotten lucky (again...) to get where we are in this tourney. Kane is slow and only scores mainly penalties (but obviously the other day, everyone else scored theirs..). We could "match" Spain with speed and that would mean a formation change that we know that Southgate won't make. Play 4-4-2, have palmer and foden on the wings as they have speed. Have both Watkins and Tony up front in the box as that will keep the defence guessing and having to double team 2 forwards. But again, we know that won't happen. England, as much as I'd love to see it done, will NOT win the Euro.
We've all jumped on England's performance but Macca is the one too negative here. The first half was excellent and causing Netherlands a lot of trouble. Second half Koeman shut that down but is was 50/50 with some moments. Netherlands showed against Turkey they can play good football and compete and fight for a result, so this was a good result and credit due. Yeah the substitutions were late but they had the desired impact. Today Southgate and players deserve a lot of credit...it was a Semi!
As last Euro against Denmark is was NOT a penalty. Saka had a hands in moment before, and secondly, it was Kane kicking into Dumfries. Thus not a penalty. England is not worthy of a final.
This show should have a mental health warning. It was negative enough and then they added Steve McManaman with his own special brand of scouse negativity and Dan became the ultimate self-hating England fan. Frank makes a fair point about England being the better team (they had more possession, more shots on target, a close offside goal, hit the wood work, ball cleared off the line) and Dan starts arguing with him. Frank Leboeuf and Mario were the only ones worth listening to. By the way Craig said England would go out to the first good team they played, Switzerland, and then Netherlands, now he is downgrading those teams.
They won its good. I was one who was not supporting England coz all this way, just like France they were struggling. Germany and Spain are the best teams here
Bellingham super hype job, he had no effect on the game as the others expect for a good sense of goal dude is useless. Southgate keeping Cole Palmer on the bench insanity. Cold Palmer must start always.
Studs up knee high tackle that hits another players foot and doesn’t touch the ball whatsoever… not thinking that could easily be given as a pen by most refs is insane. I’m a coach and would be screaming my head off for a penalty if a defender tried to block my players shot but instead studs their foot and doesn’t touch the ball.. its a harsh one as he is going to block the ball.. but guess what, he’s late and doesn’t make contact with the ball and could have blocked it by getting both legs in the way and not nearly breaking the opposition players foot.
@@bennyboy2023still, the ball didn’t go anywhere near the goal, no scoring chance was prevented and it was just a dual on the field. Even without the defender there the ball would have gone far wide, and giving a pen makes it a free goal that would otherwise not have been anywhere near a goal, it feels harsh
The reason why England didn’t keep the same tempo as the first half is due to two teams being on the field, the opposition are allowed to make things difficult. I agree that Southgate has made some strange decisions earlier in the tournament and have questioned his position as manager, but come on people, he deserves credit for another final, and we have to remember we are not entitled to win it
Trippier wasn't in there because of 'needs must'. I assumed Chillwell was injured but he wasn't ! It might still prove to be Southgate's biggest mistake. Shaw can just barely do a half. Trippier cannot defend against a wide player who goes on the outside. Luckily Spain's winger on that side likes cutting in. So maybe Trippier can cope with Shaw coming on in the second half.
Lol he barely scraped through the last 2 rounds! He needs to leave after Spain give him a hiding and pursue his dream of bring a labour MP. His best skill is giving woke lectures, not managing an amazing group of players.
Regarding the Southgate situation, I feel like people are mixing up performance and entertainment. Some parts of the sports world are facing the same issue that competitive video games run into, where certain people completely nerd out in order to optimize every single part of the experience, as opposed to allowing creativity and spontaneity to flow. They get W's, but for the viewers it gets very stale very fast
The substitutions are what they are and not expected to start games but to come on to impact games. Today, we saw Southgate played his best 11 players and they played fanstanstically well with Foden playing 10 and Jude playing 8. He made the first substitution at 45mins and the other 2 at 75 mins. Palmer cannot start ahead of Saka because he is not a RW and he cannot start ahead of Foden in the 10 role too so just drop this idea. Southgate despite the pressure from the media has been spot on with his tactics, formation and team selection.
The most important thing to remember about this tournament is that England has played against the hardest teams in The way they have been playing defensively in Slovakia Slovenia Switzerland who’s not lost in games against Portugal Germany and Belgium. If these clowns can’t even see it was the decision to add an extra midfielder by the Dutch that stopped the attacking threat from England. Maybe they should analyse the tournament and see that Spain has been outplayed by Germany and a bang average French team which they both had better chances to score than Spain. They also beat the worst attacking team in the tournament in Italy and Albania by a single goal. I think they have given away a lot of big chances and they are not the best defending crosses and I think England has the best players to exploit this weakness.
@@kd5973 that’s fine and I think most would agree with you the problem is generally calling Southgate lucky when he’s got them to a semi final, a final and another final. Saying he’s been lucky this one game or another is fair but discrediting the whole job he’s done over the last 8 years as “lucky” is absurd. Luck plays a factor for every successful manager but at a certain point you need to realise that maybe he’s creating his own luck.
Bellingham super hype job, he had no effect on the game as the others expect for a good sense of goal dude is useless. Southgate keeping Cole Palmer on the bench insanity. Cold Palmer must start always.
Our best performance in sometime, we finally played with some confidence.. belief. Well played, Spain will be tricky.. but just maybe, we can do it. We better believe it.
@@sitthe5598 I'm saying that to win, the players must believe it. This team does have potential. England do have a chance against Spain, unlikely.. but it's a chance.
I think England have been lucky to get to the final. They have not won any match convincingly. Spain have been far better. Spain will beat England easily in the final like a walk in the park. It is not coming home. England are going home empty handed after the final.
Southgate is such a clown and this result will hide it all again lol England will get spanked in the finals and English fans will thank Southgate for it
England is far better than an aged Croatian team . It will not he 4-1 as long as england keep it together. It will be a close game . The way getmany were playing england could beat them
Can’t tell if all the Southgate fanboys in the comments are just paid bots or if they’ve never watched football before in their life 😂 the ugliest, no strategy football underutilizing the best players in the world to barely scrape by and you guys think it’s top notch
England have a golden opportunity to silence their haters against the best team in competition, and sure if they win, no one will care to remember how they arrived to the final. But don’t get it twisted, they and Southgate have been massively mid
England get no credit. Brilliant in the first half and than great management from the Dutch. The Netherlands are a good team and England were better and played really good football. Im proud of the boys.
Maybe you're young, but I've seen England over and over again falling short in tournaments, failing to qualify, flopping out of tournaments. We've had great squads of talented players, but failed over and over again.
@@adamclark1972uk I'm not, I've seen the same thing. The last 8 years have been players getting it done in spite of the manager. We should have won something if we just had a half decent manager.
Anyone else baffled that firstly he swapped Shaw for Trippier, and secondly, that this wasn't a mistake? We showed we can outplay Spain in first half tonight. Grasp the opportunity, don't fear the moment🎉
Oh Dam they rigging for England ?? I thought it was just for Messi ? Lol ain’t funny how it only rigged when the trans you don’t want to win ,win? Lol you sound hurt relax worry about the USA trying to get out of group stages
Now its Time for Spain to finish another English Fluke run... For the 4th Time straight, they were getting the waaaaay easier side of the Bracket. Good for us tho, cuz then they will keep Southgate forever :D
