Hey gang, sorry this was basically a "settings test" of a stream 😅part 2 will be WAY more gameplay with the new card in! (should just be a couple days max) I WILL SAY, it's odd to rewatch the stream and see what you guys were seeing.. it is WAY smoother than what I was seeing / feeling? Brother I don't know what you got going on pc wise, but you would be better off playing on the series x, my son is playing on s/x and it looks like my pc ultra settings at 30 fps....I'm on RTX 4090 and the only noticeable difference is frames and some reflections. Ps. You missed the RARE PISTOL it bangs...you have to search around outside on the roofs and around the buildings before you talk to barrett, the pistol is the EXTERMINATOR EON.
Not sure if this might be your case too, but I initially installed the game on an external harddrive, and it was running really poorly. Uninstalled and re-installed on my internal drive and it ran much better. Not sure if this might help, but best of luck figuring out the settings issues! Cheers
Bethesda Devs truly did their best. Its just that they aren't skilled enough for what they aimed, their tech is old and the marketing team is more skilled then them.
Just as I predicted this is mediocre at best and I look forward to not playing this game, so many other bangers have been released this year. Bethesda is still riding off their good image from the 90s and 2000s but if Redfall, Fallout 76 and many other titles have shown they don't have what it takes anymore.

I only caught the ending and just want to say that a 1070ti used (in my country Germany) is 100 to 200 bucks, while a 4070ti is 800 to 900 bucks. And they perform incredibly different.
1. Insane pop-in/badly handled asset lod (is it 2014?) 2. Everything is gated behind loading screens, even entering or exiting your ship 3. No screen space reflections, still relying on cube maps (is it 2014?) 4. No screen space shadows 5. No ray traced anything 6. Low quality hair meshes and textures 7. Low quality character meshes and animations 8. Foliage that doesn't react when walked through 9. No underwater swimming (only surface) 10. No NPC reaction to you dragging dead bodies infront of them 11. Space being almost entirely fast-travel 12. No FOV slider 13. No splash VFX in water 14. Outdated water physics 15. Terrible performance despite small world cell sizes
10 of those problems are graphical, the loading screens are likely a limit of the game engine itself or are there to save on performance costs, space being fast travel is how most sci fi stuff works since space is really fucking big and it takes a long time to get anywhere, and underwater swimming barely offers anything even in the games you can do it so im not missing it.
@@claytopolis limits on game engine are NOT an excuse. They had the time and money to resolve ALL of these issues to a modern triple A standard for whatever reason failed to do so
@@Grumbledookvid to overcome limits on a game engine would require extensive experimentation with the old one or switching to an entirely new one which would also mean likely having to remake the entire game from scratch. it's not easy at all to do either of those.
@@claytopolisexcept how Bethesda have even stated they spent so long "revamping" the creation engine 2 to commodate for starfield shows your statement isnt valid as OPs criticisms. BGS have been plagued and handicapped from these issues since oblivion and still havent problem solved any of it. Sure game development is hard, but the lack of basic fixes and simple as a FOV slider and loading limitations means they havent done of that extensive experimentation.

2:29:30, that's why I prefer playing with a controller. The trigger is closer to a gun trigger compared to a mouse click, plus there's vibration where you feel the shot and recoil. The only time I'll use a mouse is for a multiplayer shooter.
One thing I really really dislike about the game is that you can not fly to the planet without a cutscene showing that you are landing. I wish they did the same thing like in no man’s Sky where you can actually approach and land the aircraft yourself Pretty big negative for me because it hurts the immersion as with actuality landing flying towards the planet and actually landing it yourself you get a greater feeling of how massive the plants and the universe are . Plus it would be cool to fly over a planet at extremely low altitude And like Jacks says himself in this video there are too many cut/loading screens
we got space exploration with great bethesda quest writing right at the middle of it imo, that makes the game instantly better than no man’s sky, cause sure you can explore a quintillion planets, but why
@@saucycouch you are absolutely right, and I have personally never played no man’s sky but I’m just saying that particular thing that I like to see in space games no man’s sky has. Bethesda definitely has better storytelling, but it’s just one thing that I just really wish they did differently:)
Man the color scheme of this game is really muted and gray :/. Hopefully they patch that and make the game a little more vibrant because the npcs don't look great either.

Man in character creation both of the body types look so bad. They look neither masculine nor feminine and if you make your character very thin it is getting cartoonish. Also the length of the legs to torso length seems out of ratio giving the body a child like appearance. I don't expect bethesda to change that but maybe modding community can fix this
not only legs to body, arms to body ratio is as bad. You can see the line on which torso ends is roughly on the level of tips of the fingers, when in reality if you stand up and put your hands down you see how much lower they are relatively to you pelvis. That's crazy that a problem so easy to notice and prove was missed by a team of professionals on a multimillion project
The issue is that when you make your character thin he just loses body fat. The rib cage doesn't change. So he looks like he's been starving for 3 months.
I used the same DLSS mod in Resident Evil 4 remake and it worked incredibly. Looks much sharper and cleaner, and gives better performance than FSR. The fact that any developer would include FSR but not DLSS in their game boggles my mind.
@@Novskyy621 Crazy how you missed the entire point of my comment. Learn to read pls Point is simple, if DLSS was open source like FSR then "AMD sponsored title" would be irrelevant. Modders would be legally allowed to share DLSS updates and code to make these games work with every feature. Nvidia doesn't want that. Nvidia is anti consumer, simple as that. Have a good day :D

70-80 indoors, 50-60 in lower areas at 1440p (the upscaling is probably running it at 1080 though). The game isn't that demanding. My buddy is playing on his 2080 Super.

Why I can’t get into pc gaming full time. I modded Skyrim vr from a cloud gaming pc, and while it can be fun to figure this stuff out and get it to work, I don’t need to spend hours watching guides and trial and error bs. Not to mention all the pc parts.
Turn shadows and all other lighting effects as low as possible. Also kill motion blur cause it's lame.. Keep up the good work homie, love your attitude and vids

Jack’s criticism of Baldur’s Gate 3 is exactly what I would expect someone who replayed the intro 6 times would say. The game has a slow beginning and the only thing that keeps it exciting is that you can find something new anywhere you go. I truly believe that reworking your character is so cheap because the devs understand that restarting the game every time you want to start a new class would be boring and awful whereas in a game like Skyrim, restarting can still be exciting. It is a valid criticism of BG3, but it dissolves with more playtime and is replaced by other criticisms in act 3.
It's so sad that the only reason this is considered halfway decent is because of how low Bethesda and the rest of the AAA industry has set the bar. The game is OBJECTIVELY broken and void of content. If this came out a few years ago people would be furious, especially considering that its a Bethesda title. But now our expectations are set to Cyberpunk 2077 at launch so they can literally do less than the bare minimum knowing people will fix it for them
You should have taken my advice on GPU's and waited 24hrs for the game benchmarks because as of now 4070ti is 30% slower than 7900xt at 1440p and 35% at 4k per Daniel Owen's benchmarks of Starfield ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lGL3fczSXaI.html As of now either Nvidia's drivers suck or AMD's GPU's are faster or better optimized for Starfield. I own 4080 and recommended you buy 7900xt in $800 price to performance range in chat because it was a better buy overall.
Love Jack but he seems a bit more casual technically speaking. Refused buying an “XT” outright just bc of the brand. Lol AMD is 30% faster on average like you said in Starfield. My XTX is running like a dream at 1440p ultra wide. 4070ti is such a rip off only gettin 12gb vram at over $800
As hard as it is to admit it is pretty fun, you just have to ignore the terrible follower system, the main story line which is just awful, the carrying capacity being truly anal, as well as the occasional crash and of course the many lies told by Todd. When you do that you can really have a laugh
I realy wanna like new games but Fromsoftware made me to not like any of the new games. This combat is just sad, its old and not entertaining. After playing AC6 for the past week i just cant make my self to even pirate this game..

For real though you have to keep playing Baldurs gate 3. The more you play the crazier it gets. I know it’s too soon to say this, but it’s probably my favorite game I’ve ever played. This has long been held by the original Kotor and Baldurs gate 3 is so much better than that game.

Man this game runs like garbage and has the worst flight mechanics I've ever seen. How can No man's sky, elite dangerous and Star citizen do space to surface travel and this can't 8 years later?
This game prioritized many other things making it extremely hard to make atmospheric flight. It sucks ass but who knows maybe a mod will come out eventually
And the only reason they delayed it was because of Microsoft believe it or not bedesta was fine releasing it then, I doubt they done much with it , all those planets are empty and devoide of anything fun they legit couldn't bother to give us a fookin land vehicle to drive in those souless empty planets
