Street skateboarders from around the world are descending on the picturesque Dubai Habour to compete in the World Skateboarding Tour’s Dubai street 2024 event from 3 to 10 March. The World Skateboarding Tour (WST) forms a key part of the ‘Road to Paris’ for park and street skateboarders looking to compete at the Olympic Games and WST Dubai Street 2024 stop will mark a critical stage on that journey.
The event will be the last chance for skaters to accrue points towards their Olympic World Skate Ranking (OWSR) before a cut is made - using those rankings - ahead of the second phase of qualification, the Olympic Qualifying Series (OQS). The OQS is a two-part competition series taking place in Shanghai (16-19 May) and Budapest (20-23 June) and will be the settings to determine the final fields for Paris 2024.

Getting rid of single tricks in semi's is spectacularly stupid. Even line only comps usually have 3 runs, this is a horrible format. Lets regress skating to 90s competitions and give line specialists an overwhelming advantage, cool.

There’s way too much flat in this course layout. Bad design and skaters are not stoked on it.

definitely could've been more banked to allow for speed tbh but the Olympic measuring is more suited to both the Men and Women ability and heights

REMEMBER EVERYONE, this contest is only worth 1/12th of the FULL event cycle. The next two are worth 1/3 each of the TOTAL points. The wins here don't matter as much as the next TWO events 🫣💯

nah bro, if you watch Yukitos 2nd line, he did two flip tricks and hit the main obstacle with arguably more advanced tricks than Tuesta, although Tuesta did get some switch grinds, he flipped his board only once and did less tricks than Yukito who got a 72.9. TOTALLY agree with the judges on this
