I was born and raised at Cidade Sol and I really am sorry that you were treated like that. That place was created to home the refugees from our colonies back in the 70s (not only white Portuguese that were living in the colonies, but also Africans that were born as Portuguese there). My childhood was fairly peaceful and we did not had any trouble until the late 90s when they decided to create another project inside Cidade Sol: Quinta da Mina. It was created to home Gipsy families. Since then, because, and as you well said, Africans and Gipsies to not get along, the place became a bit hostile and somewhat unsafe. It is indeed a very poor neighborhood of Barreiro but it wasn't always like that. I still have family living there and altough you had a crazy experience, it is still a fairly decent place to live with a lot of hardworking people.

We (Portuguese) eat a lot of rice but rice and beans is a Brazilian thing. They eat it a the time. We eat rice with salad, vegetables and yes, sometimes beans. But we eat Beans in an traditional dish called feijoada that is beans with pork.

Cidade do Sol is considered one of the poorest and most problematic areas in the metropolitan area of Lisbon. Basically he was sent to the projects. Not surprised he was cursed and pelted with garbage, and I hope he got to see more of the country than that.

A dada altura do vídeo quase dá vontade de ir viver para Portugal porque se poderão conhecer lá muitos brasileiros, ou será que para isso seria melhor ir viver para o Brasil!

whuuuuuuuttt!!!!!!!How the hell did you get to cidade sol?????i'm actually from sun city, the neighborhood with lots of gypsies, and it's just so weird to hear someone documenting a journey to this place, suburbs in the middle of nowhere on the other side of the river! I would love to know how you got here honestly hahaha ,what a crack!
