OCI Card is a multiple entry life-long visa that enables the holder to have unlimited travel and stay in India.
OCI is an online process. The applicant needs to fill up OCI Application Form Online. After filling up the online OCI application, the applicant has to take out the print of the application and submit TWO SETS of the application form with prescribed documents and fees to the designated VFS Centre. The time taken for the issue of the OCI Card is a minimum of 4-6 weeks, delay beyond the specific time frame cannot be ruled out owing to certain technical reasons. All applicants are advised to book their travel plan only after obtaining the OCI. VFS will not be responsible for any loss for any bookings made in anticipation of obtaining an OCI. OCI Miscellaneous services take 7-10 working days(as on the website)

❌:-When you try to book appointment select OCI as option👇 in Select service. please do not select miscellaneous as I mentioned at the end of video. A Friend of mine was send back today(16/03/21). Even if you don't see any dates under OCI option, according to them it will come soon. Keep checking. Hi Rino - thanks for the informative video. It has certainly helped me and I am sure it will help A LOT of people. I have a couple of questions please.. Once you have printed the completed application and booked the appointment, what are the next steps?.... Do I need to post anything or just turn up for my appointment? also, can you give a list of what items we must take while going in for the appointment.... I read in some comments that we have to take Royal mail special delivery envelopes? - Many thanks in advance and Happy New Year!

Thanks, Naveen for the kind words and the support. ❤️ Take a printout of the application, also appointment letter,2 photographs, and all the supporting documents both original and copies. I have pinned a comment on the video. that explains everything including some pdf printouts you need to fill up and take along with you. regarding self-addressed envelopes if you take them from the post office you save 7-8 pounds otherwise they will provide you that from there. I have uploaded the current British passport without oci sticker, photo, oci detail and done successfully. And I have got the reference number too. This was happened in July 2021. I need to go to India on March 2023. Do I need to do these steps again? Do I need to stick the OCI sticker in the current passport?

No Karamjit according to new rules you only need to reapply once when you are over 20 and over 50 years of age. since you are under 20 you can just upload copy of passport and photo and you will receive an email confirmation. That will do😍

@@sheilasunith1852 The photograph should be in colour and of the size of 2 inch x 2 inch (51 mm x 51 mm). The photo-print should be clear and with a continuous-tone quality. It should have full face, front view, eyes open. Photo should present full head from top of hair to bottom of chin. Center head within frame. The background should be a plain light colored background. There should not be any distracting shadows on the face or on the background. Head coverings are not permitted except for religious reasons, but the facial fea tures from bottom of chin to top of forehead and both edges of the face must be clearly shown. The expression on the face should look natural.

Why do you need that self attestation form for? As far as I know every applicant needs 2 Royal Mail Special delivery envelopes each(if you don’t take with you they provide it with double the charge it normally cost you to buy

Which app did you use to get good resolution on photo, signature etc before uploading for oci renewal?

It wasn't any app i used HP scanner app on my computer.when you scan photo make sure the dimensions are correct 2 x2 and scan as jpeg select type as photo,also when you scan signature do the same but if it didn't come right , change the type to document instead of photo.😍

I called vfs london and one of the staff mentioned you must select relevant service. You cannot select one service and go to appointment for a different one as you mentioned. Anyone had any luck?
