Virtual Chicane is a horrible idea, might as well just do the championship in a simulator if we want safety

did you even listen to the commentators? It's not a matter of safety. If you use a normal chicane and someone overshoots it, it opens up the door for the ones behind. I agree it's not super interesting to watch, but strategically it's cool.

@@g1sbi It helps with that, but in the FIA Instagram they refer to the safety aspects only, like reducing accidents on fast straights.

Opening the chicane for the competitors after you is a part of Rally. Its a fundamental the sport is built on. The early cars clear the roads.

Speeds were getting too high for the car structure to absorb the energy if a shunt occurs.

Just how stupid is virtual chicane.. Which is the minimum kmh cause I saw under 30 but not in all of them.. Where they stop and where they start?? 😅😅 It felt also weird in WEC lemans but there they had maximum fuel per lap,but this???
