@@IlkkaPrusibut not everyone is using one in shakedown. In fact I think only Sami Pajari and Adrein Fourmaux did slow down. And here in shakedown there is plenty of space for haybales
@@krzysztofchabras9253 In this round it is just for testing that it works. In the next round it is mandatory. Also shakedown times don't matter for actual position.

I'm a newbie in terms of watching WRC races and probably don't understand something, but it seems to me that the cars don't have the same power. Maybe they have different regulations, but Mr.Sesks was almost 20 kph down on the straight - was his KERS, ERS or whatever on? :D
The Pumas are a little bit slower then the Yaris und the I20. They have all the same Regulations at the Engine Power. The Speed Difference depends on the Gear-Ratio / Aerodynamics / Tire Strategy and how you passed the last Apex
There will be a virtual chicane rule coming in the future, basically at some point they have to slow down to 60kmh and then back to speed or something. Haven’t looked into that, but the drivers were able to test that if they wanted, and Formaux tested it.
To make the rally drivers slow down where they put the signs of virtual chicanes. Instead of using real chicane, they put signs or something to slow down.
i dont think its as bad as it looks, for sure hyndai is slightly faster in top speed, but you could see ogier, kale and taka get 188 on that first straight so i think its mainly by the setup and how low their suspension is. And this is rally after all, so about what you can do in the corners, not those 2kph in rev limiter which you barely reach through the weekend
@@gabssim-racingfun-channel7492 those 198 looked like it was only at the jump, probably it's a wheelspeed sensor, they were doing around 190 while Sesks' puma was 10 down at 180
