I used to live about 11 miles away from Breezy Point...across the water in Highlands, NJ, near Sandy Hook. Too bad there's no crossing between Brooklyn and Sandy Hook, would make trips between Long Island and the NJ shore much shorter.
When you said Kennedys , is that the Kennedys bar that was there in the 60s and 70s , there used to be a pier right near Kennedys that a ferry use to stop , it ran from sheepshead bay , please let me know .
I have a question: I live in Northern NJ. I was watching a video of someone looking for shells on Fire Island. That's about two hours away from me. Long Beach and nearby Breezy Point look much closer. Do you think I'd find the same kinds of shells there? I know that's a weird, niche question.
that was great. I really enjoyed it. I didn't know that about "The Lighthouse", although it makes perfect sense. I always wondered why it didn't look like Cape Hatteras or Quaddy Head. Now I know.
Super cool video! I think I have an even better view on this video than the 1st. One thing I noticed is that I did not see any apparent damage from Hurricane Sandy, which I remember really did a number on Breezy Point.
