Travis Head reminded me of Ishan Kishan. What KL did in finals and what Ishan Kishan did in that 64-4 INDvsPAK game are the exact opposite. But Gambhir and others were trolled for suggesting he should be the first choice. Wasting of hundreds of balls for a half century, and then such stupid wicket keeping. India was not destined this time despite all the above statistics and consistency. But, we also need to reflect on the past. In 1983, we did not deserve that victory against a mighty west indies team. But, then, victory on one day is not a measure of your worth. The game is like that. Once we appreciate this balance, we can accept victory or loss with perfect equanimity. My sense of regret is, we didn't make it difficult for Aussies to earn the win. If we had lost after scoring 300+ runs, there would have been a better appreciation for Aussies. Yet, they proved their big match temperament on a day that mattered.

Rohit is far from being a great captain! I feel he lacks strategy and good planning for the team. And I felt the same in the last ODI World Cup too, when they lost in the semi finals. This captain should have been changed for this World Cup. Dhoni was great, we miss him. This team played in the FINALS like they were playing in a local game! Very bad performance!!
