We've seen Iggy, Melo, and a few other players say recently that once you agree to come off the bench in the NBA, you'll always be viewed as a bench player. Russ set that precedent with the Lakers a couple years ago. The Clippers wanting Harden was more insurance for Kawhi and PG getting hurt, it wasn't about snaking Russ

In the same vein as what you're saying about Kawhi Leonard, there's a whole line-up of guys who don't need to be spending their off-time playing for Team USA, putting their NBA team & teammates' entire seasons at risk, should they incur injury. Once upon a time, the Olympics was an opportunity for the top collegians, with the occasional NBA rookie/recruit thrown in,,,back when player development was a real thing, and, our collegians were the best of those whom had spent four years developing their skills. Realistically, there's not really good reason for some of those professionals to be still playing, considering the idea that IN SEASON is not the time that you should be load managing, if you feel so energetic that you can spend the entire REST PERIOD playing hard as you can for another team! And, that goes for more than just Kawhi Leonard, too.

Russ may not be a good shooter, but you can never question his heart, effort, and determination on the court. He plays angry, and his energy is infectious around the team, which gives you everything on that court. Kawhi has no passion half of the time he's always hurt, and I agree with Stephen A Smith. He called him the worst superstar in NBA history when Kawhi is engaged on both ends he's one of the best players in the league, but when his heart is not in it, it's half ass effort. And he cheats you, and that's why Russell Westbrook doesn't respect him he sees him just flat out quitting on himself and his teammates. And that was Tony Parker who called Kawhi, saying his injury was 10 times worse and he was still playing. And Kobe loved Russell Westbrook set that he played with the aggression much is the way that I played.

Now it makes sense of why the Clips didn't win and why Leonard didn't want to play with that nut; doesn't matter how hard or well Westbrook plays, he'll always be a losing player who cannot use his intelligence to win games; he's just a tennis player who turns the ball over in crucial points; you put him in a situation to have the game in his hand, he'll lose 8 out of 10 times. I'm glad the Clippers got him out of that atmosphere and kept guys who have integrity, both Paul George and Westbrooks are losing players when it comes to time and situation, they just cannot see the game with their abilities to win.

Mr Lenard is a professional athlete and a businessman. Let's be honest we all knew his knees were and are bad and declining. And NBA politics is playing a big role. I always liked Westbrook and definitely agree the Lakers star players did him dirty. Westbrook plays harder than most NBA pros without question. PG13 was the main one asking for the Clippers to bring in Westbrook and Harden and Kawhi backed him up with the request. I don't believe Kawhi would have asked for both of those players to be on the team at the same time. The difference between Kawhi and PG13 is that when healthy Kawhi is giving 100% effort while PG13 does not always do that. PG13 has blamed others around him on different teams when things go wrong more than once. Westbrook has a right to feel the way he does because he has earned that by always giving 100% when on the court. Kawhi injury history with the Clippers is hurting their chances to get the chip, but I cannot blame him for that.That is because like Westbrook he gives 100% effort when healthy which is more than I can say about PG13. In Philly the fans will let PG13 know about it if he continues to disappear as much as he did in LA. Also I don't understand why Westbrook has not improved his outside shooting after all these years in the league. He has to take some of the blame for his poor shooting and turnovers if winning a chip is really the goal.

I get it, especially the Lakers situation which i dont fault him for at all. But at some point when are we gonna look at things overall from a career standpoint and see Russ is the common denominator in all these chaotic situations? Harden as well?
