I've had my 50R for 15 months or so now along with the 32-64 and the 23. I toyed with selling them, but the images I got out of them made me think twice. I'm a landscapist and the images are just on another level. So much so I'd say it's the best landscape photography camera and lens set-up you can buy.
I wonder if a mk II of the 50S and R are in the works, no ibis (too big), same sensor, but with upgraded (phase) autofocus. Or are the sensor and phase detect bits necessarily mated to each other?
I agree totally, phase detection is a must. and maybe a better design. for ME they are the best, price/quality. No doubt about it. But the Hassy H-series are hand shaped and beautifully designed. Sorry Fuji.
Hey Ken, What are your thoughts about some say that the GFX family is not a real MF since they have a smaller sensor than the Hasselblad H6D-100c or the PhaseOne?
yes !! if you look at the true medium format sensor and gfx series sensor they are tad bit smaller. but the difference between H6d-100c to GFX is so small they almost consider them MF too while GFX sensor vs full frame have much wider gap !!
Hi - love your channel - thanks. I am a fine art photographer and giclee printer and want to use either the 50R or GFX100 to capture artworks for fine art giclee printing. I am debating between the 50R (more affordable) and the GFX100 (better uncompromising detail). I currently use a D800 and it's fine, but there is always better - right! The jump in price between the 50R and the GFX100 is steep - but I know the GFX100 would deliver the best possible results. That said - it's impressive what I can get with the D800 - no one is complaining. What I would love to know is what is the best lens to use for this job? I currently use a Nikkor 85mm f1.8 lens. I know the Fuji lenses are sharp - but I do want one that is sharp as possible all across the lens - into the corners. Any recommendations?
@@JuanLopez-oz9kh i say if what you have works, you shouldn't switch! i used d800 for over a year, my experience was quite good, i hated it autofocus speed but the images out of it were just beautiful!! i shot primarily with 85,50, 70-200 and in love love with it. also should you go for 50R with $3100 used on market suchas lensauthority, adorama, bnh etc with 110gf (85 full frame) focal length or i just saw 50 3.5gf for 500 on BNH, Adorama etc for GFX if you shoot them around f8,f11 you should be more than fine for overall sharpness !!! also you can also do pixel shift techniue using tripod !! Good Luck ! i am myslef very much not trying to buy myslef a 50s or R lol but z7 would not be bad either !!
You got a nasty bot, Ken! Get 'em!!!! (Edit) Wait, never mind, I got it. Forgot I could report suspicious activity from my side of the screen. Duh! It was "Trap Star" if you were wondering. Apparently YT hasn't gotten rid of these a--holes yet. Keep an eye out on your other vids. (Edit, Edit) AAAAAACK! They reappeared!!!!!! Ummm, that's on you bud.
