Just one more question. After editing in desktop I go to responsive but I don't have the hambury menu. Arrrgg!! It's the same one on desktop. Not ready to throw in the towel. Any help would be greatly appreciated

@@thebongbongseffect Darn it. Sorry it's a struggle. If you're using the free version you may not be able to get support from the developers directly. @@thebongbongseffect Many times a free theme that has such low installs may not have the best features. You can potentially add another plugin to fix the mobile navigation issues like this one wordpress.org/plugins/mobile-menu/

This is probably the most weird feature of Wordpress, pages and posts. I have a static home page I built. I want to have it so my posts go into this static home-page. There is no way to do it. I can either have a static homepage that I've customized. Or a homepage that is strictly posts. Beyond asinine. You'd think they would just make a widget for it.

@@KoriAshton Thanks for your kind attention. I have fixed it and what I did was to open a new page and copy and paste similar content and when I publish it was Ok. I then publish and delete the faulty page.

Really Nice video. COuld you also please make video on troubleshooting "Undefined error" while importing any Template on wordpress theme. I am using elementor for page editor . I have used different themes also but same error. I have used different templates also. May be issue is with Elementor.

I'm in newest vesion of WP - 2020- and Categories is not a feature to be added to menus. Appearance, Menus.

Visit the top of the page and select - screen options. You can add categories to be visible.

Hi Ellen, I think I am looking for what you published here but I am a newbie. I want to hit post and type away and then have it loaded on a specific menu. Instead they all go under my blog area. I really don't want to add tons of pages to my menu I just want to add to already specific menu pages. hope this make sense and could you walk through one for an example. I am an intern and my job is to maintain and add new features on my works website. So i wanted to make a separate blog page to our website. How would I go about posting to a specific page not titled 'blog'. In my menu, I don't want to have a 'blog' category. How do you have one blog show on multiple pages??? For example, I want my blog on the Giza Pyramids (that includes a section on camels) to show on both my Egypt and Camels pages. I tried this but it did not work: • Dashboard • Posts • All Posts • Click on my Giza Pyramids post • Click the Bulk Action drop down menu • Select Edit • Apply • Select all the categories you want the post in (Eg. Hi Kori, Thank you for the informative video. I have edited my wordpress template home page (the product section). In my dashboard, there are two pages for product now , one is /product and the other one /product-2. The url of my product page is now /product-2 and does not show the content from my home page which I would like it to show. Do you have any suggestion to correct this.

On your Reading area - do you have more than 3 suggested to show? Does your theme limit the display? What theme are you using? You could reach out to the theme developers directly on this issue for fast support.

It certainly can. The more calls your website makes to the server, the slower the load speed becomes. If your theme is advanced enough - you would not need this added plugin.

Hi, This may be an extremely easy fix, however its got my going in circles. I am trying to create and menu with a page that allows a series of options in that category. For example, Kitchen is the main page on the menu bar. I want to be able to click on Kitchen which should open a page with other sub categories with images on that page. I want to be able to click on any of those to open a full product page of all the items listed under that category. So - Kitchen is on the main menu = list of other pages, like (mugs/mats/pots/pans/plastic wear). Then want to be able to click on any of these, for example click on image of a mug to be taken to a full range of mugs only. Appreciate some direction. Thanks

Understood - You may need to make some custom menus for the sidebar of your sub categories. Does your theme offer unique sidebars on certain posts?

This was awesome, thanks so much! I have another question regarding putting the posts in a page... Web Designer Depot (.) com has an awesome layout where the homepage shows the most recent posts, but in two box rows. HOW DO THEY DO THIS?? I want my blog homepage to link to just the last 2 or 3 blog posts. The first box in the row has an image, the second box has a post title and summary. Then the next row alternates, with the first box showing the post title and summary, and the second box with the image. Can you do a video on that?? =) Thanks for all the great info!

I added a post in page plug in called Content Views to make a page on my blog that holds all of the recipes I have posted. It does not pull all of the recipes though (only some of them), even though I have them all categorized as "recipe." Do you have any ideas as to why? Thanks so much!

Does that plugin have a max number visible? You may want to check that. You can also check under Settings >> Reading and change the number of 10 to something higher. This area may be the cause.

I was just wondering, on My WordPress site I want to put a ''How to start a blog'' in my top nav menu - is there a way to make just ONE post (My ''how to start a blog'' tutorial) appear on that page?

Would be good to know the geeky way to display a blog post on a child page. The plugin option isn't ideal and might need to get my hands dirty. If there is a vid or tutorial covering this, that'd be much appreciated.
