We are back with another THE GOLDEN GIRLS REACTION. Today, we are watching BROTHERLY LOVE. In this episode, Stan's brother Ted comes for a visit and sparks seem to fly between him and Dorothy. But how will Blanche and Stan feel about it all? And why can't Rose sleep? This episode was full of laughs and displayed why I love this show so much!

This is one of the best episodes of Season 3, if not the whole series. The writing is top notch hilarity, especially the insults, and the acting is on point (would you expect anything less!)

The best quote from the entire series and my favorite. “Have you heard the latest ad campaigns? Join the Navy, See the World, Sleep with Blanche Devereaux. Join the Army, Be All You Can Be, and Sleep with Blanche Devereaux. The Marines are Looking For A Few Good Men Who Have NOT Slept with Blanche Devereaux!”

When this aired on Lifetime for the argument scene between Dorothy and Blanche they cut out the Army/Navy/Marines joke and so it cut between the two hurling vile insults at each other and it came off as way more tense as a result. I had no idea that joke even was part of the episode until it started airing on Hallmark

Lifetime did that also with the episode where Rose had the dog and it got sick and Dorothy and Blanche didn't care and they skipped over the part where Rose said in a little voice "I used to live with a couple of b****es myself.

I saw an interview with Bea Arthur about one of the reasons she wanted to end the show and she said that it was all of the jokes about her appearance and that it was easier for Rue and Betty because the two of them weren’t like the characters they portrayed but she was literally getting jokes and insults about her looks and body and overall appearance and it got to her after a while
