I have a sublimation printer, a cricut and now I'm getting screen for screen printing now. My grandbabies are going to have the coolest t-shirts in town!!
Man this takes me back! My freshman year of high school back in '93 I took a graphic arts class and we were taught how to do this. It was probably the most fun project we got to do.
Me too... it was all fun until I got to work at a printing company & my hands were killing me. Now I work with preschoolers. Still do a lot of art projects 🤣
@@DesignBundles try it with the silkscreen Started Kit from Silhouette and screen is not getting clean (sad face). My project is on my garment but it's also still on the screen. I tried washing with water and nothing happen, I applied soap and nothing happened. Maybe it the ink. oh well there you have it (sad face)
Thanks again for another great video. You asked what we would like to see you do. I just got a Star Craft solo and would love to see a couple of videos using that. I realize that there are a lot of the same between it and other machines. Thanks
When we were doing Christian missions in the Philippines I took a class for screen printing by video and Mail And I found my wife’s cousin had a screen printing business at his house very rustic and simple taught me a few extra things I just got a cricut Now the hand cut stencil material It’s almost like vinyl but more Permanent adhered with lacquer thinner after cutting should be able to do with the machine
Hi, Thanks so much for doing this video. I didn't see the live video, but I am so happy to have watched it later. I own a Cricut Joy that got for Christmas and it's such great fun to use, I am still learning what aiI can do with it. I will be watching all your videos. Thanks again for a very informative and amazing video.
Oh no! Not to worry though, we are live weekly and our next like you can find here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UMySxm59l0I.html be sure to set yourself a reminder! 😊
This was awesome! I'm waiting for my heat press to get here and this looks so easy! Now I need this kit. I also love design bundles! I am a gold plus member and just bought this design with my credits.
Great teacher! i wish that i didnt have to see comments popping up on the video part it is annoying and covers part of the screen, you make this look so easy though thank you :)
I love screen printing I own a cricut Joy, and a silhouette4 I love my silhouette and I enjoy the software much more than cricut. But I do use both. Thanks for sharing
So jealous of you guys. I wish 143 vinyl delivered to UK. I haven't found anywhere as cheap as them over here. If any UK people know of any good well priced vinyl please let me know
Love your design! Missed the live cause I had to go to grocery store. Just a thought here...would you ever consider CRUCUT strong transfer tape for your stencil material? Great job...
Hello Joy! Not to worry we are live weekly and will be live on Monday at 2pm CST, you can set yourself a reminder by going here 👉 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UMySxm59l0I.html
Here is the speedball ink that was used - www.amazon.com/Speedball-Products-Fabric-Screen-Printing/dp/B0010DV4G0?crid=SJPOB6SRKK00&keywords=screen+print+white+ink&qid=1640613290&sprefix=screen+print+whit,aps,251&sr=8-5&linkCode=sl1&tag=designbundles-20&linkId=f3c87880bae5df32b21881be7d01dab6&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl
Also there was a puff Ink That could be mixed with a little bit of another screen printing ink it would make pastel colors! It was very cool for lady stuff then we would print it let it dry then after it was totally dry we would apply heat it would puff up I do not know if you can get the puff ink here?
Great video! You can use these over and over again, you just need to take out the screen and learn to put a new screen back in the frame and make more, or just make more frames and leave them together to use again. depending on how many times you need that print. I make them and use them on shirts and crafts.
You said you buy the big rolls of vinyl the black and white . How do you store them ? This is like the 5 th time I watched this video it is very helpful. I watched it so much because I really want to make sure I do not forget a step. Lol easy to do . Have a blessed day 💞
Since I am now disabled When I run this my wife and I are going to have a good time because of what we know from screen printing and airbrushing before you can do a lot with a print and a little accent color
Does it matter if you tape from the Back Edges or inside the frame? I saw a Video where another person taped the back and another tape the inside which is better?
After I learn how do use my machine I still have some hand cut screen printing film in a tube (it’s 30 years old) but I will try to see if it will cut on my machine
If I wanted to make multiple t shirts with the same design can I use it repeatedly or do I need to wash and wait until the screen is dry to repeat? Or can I use the same one over and over before washing?
#ducks! I was wondering if you could use htv on the screen if it was a design you needed to re use! The only thing i am not sure of is if the silk screen can take the heat! Plus membership gold! I use silhouette software business edition, I don’t own a machine!
Great video!! So help me please… I have seen some videos where doing white ink, even speedball, on black T-shirt material, requires you to do a second pass to get the white bright white and crisp lines so you don’t have any bleedthrough of the black T-shirt. So in this case, we would need to use a hinged screen print board. Is there a video on this? My question really is what to purchase to be able to do a double pass??
Hi Shari! We actually have an additional screen printing video here that I think will help answer your questions: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-x6k_L6uGen4.html
What is 143? I have never heard of it. I just stocked up on items from cricuts clearance sale. It was amazing 🙀 50% off everything, some items up to 75% off.
Hopefully someone can help! I completed my first attempt at screen printing using cricut vinyl. The shirt was a polyester/cotton blend, did not wash beforehand. Printed the design on cricut, ... everything came out perfect with the speedball ink. I let it cure for 1 week before heat setting it with a household iron set to "cotton blend". Covered design with parchment paper and kept the iron moving for 3 minutes. After the 1st wash & dry cycle, some of the ink had some cracking. Would be grateful for some tips! Should I have washed the shirt first? Handwashed it instead of using the washing machine? Is it alright to put it in the dryer?...
Hi April! Primarily the cause of the ink cracking is from the ink not curing. Ink that is not cured will crack when you pull at the shirt (after it has cooled down) or will crack when washed. The temperature on the iron may have been too low! You wan to aim for 270-330 degrees Fahrenheit! - Dawn
Oh no! It's okay, you can always watch the replay and we are live weekly! Our next live is Monday at 2pm cst, you can set yourself a reminder by going here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UMySxm59l0I.html
Do you find with the white speedball paint one pass is enough? If I wanted to print white on black with a press id be able to do multiple layers without the shirt moving in order to get the white really bright.
How can I work on a dry fit fabric so that it doesn't get damaged? Or what foundation do you recommend? Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.☺️
i love this!!! i do have a question. if for some reason u did place it wrong and didnt notice it until after u pulled up the screen , could u remove the ink before making it permanent or is it scrapped at that point?
