Something that greatly helped was Lord’s Divine Fortification spell that can be purchased from the Twin Maiden Husks after defeating Gideon. Negates a good portion of damage from any holy casts that catch you out. Cast it next to your spirit ash to add protection to it as well.

Love this build, nagakiba carried my first playthru! I already suggested a shamshir build but if youre open to more suggestions, i highly recommend you try out zamor curved sword since i dont think youve made a build on that yet :)

On my samurai/bleed build, i used Guardian Swordspear with Keen Affinity and Sword Dance ash of war. I melted Radagon/Elden Beast with it.

Nice build...I prefer my Nagakiba (Double Slash) cold infused...I love it when the bosses gets frostbitten and takes 20% more damage! Then consecutive hits will activate the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia so that's more damage...plus when the bleed procs, I get more damage from Lord of Blood's Exultation and White Mask...plus Golden Vow, sweet!

Great video. This is the perfect weapon to use with double slash and bloodflame. Question: most fights don’t last very long and the white mask and lord of blood’s exaltation talisman don’t kick in until there’s blood loss. So I often wonder whether I am better off not using these two and instead picking something, particularly the talisman, that might be more helpful for most of the fight. Plus, given that most fights end with the blood loss explosion or shortly thereafter, it might be more efficient going with electrify armament which gives a huge lightning AR damage boost for the whole fight if you spec for it. Your build here is probably best for the boss fights you are demonstrating.

Thank you! Always good insight there! My feeling is that in NG+7, the bleed does trigger quite often which helps the rest of the fight. E.g the Margit fight (starting 1:27), the bleed triggers after the first initial two combos (see the damage 6286 at 1:32). Electrify armament is highly effective as well especially against bosses that are weak to lightning such as Godfrey. Putting on a Ritual Sword Talisman will be very good. It is a bit hard for me to quantify bleed vs higher lightning AR (fire 0.4* faith + bleed vs lightning 0.75*faith).

You can always use seppuku on a left handed weapon to get bloodloss before entering the fight! Then go back to 2 handing the NAGAKIBA

I highly suggest to pick the Hero as your starting class if you're planning to min/max your build. Also, I recommend to use the Bloodhound's Fang as temporary place holder while you are still getting the Nagakiba since both weapons are viable with that stat distribution.

Wow! Very nice! Why do you use 50 faith? Would it not be better to put more into vigor and maybe the rest into dex? (or whatever nagakiba scales with)

Faith can slightly increase the bloodflame blade damage. Not really need if you are not at this level. The recommended stats are on the right side of the screen for reference at here: 00:43

when you apply ash of war (double slash), choose the qualify instead of keen. You probably need to get Iron Whetblade in Stormveil Castle if the option is not available to you.

I am thinking of a similar build but with a Keen Cross-Naginata and Repeating Thrust. Or go Arcane and use Occult instead, but then we lose Bloodflame Blade. Which one would be more dmg in your opinion guys? And how would it compare to this build?

Cross-Naginata can get higher pure damage than Nagakiba. I haven't tried Repeating Thrust yet, but it sounds like an interesting idea. In NG+7, it feels a little bleed can help. Assuming the Repeating Thrust can proc bleed well, I would go for bloodflame blade. Occult may get you even higher AR, but it is depending on the playstyle, e.g. if you want to power-stance or jump attack with two weapons. My 2 cents.

At 150, you'll go to 60 Vigor, 62 Dexterity, and 38 Faith. Swap out Flame Grant Me Strength for Howl of Shabriri.

Very cool recommendation! Warrior Jar Shard is a good call out, as Shard of Alexander can only be obtained late in the game. For starting the game, you can also use heavy affinity and focus on strength first. Two-hand the weapon will make it very effective in early game. Millicent's prosthesis can be obtained fairly early. You can choose to use this plus the Winged Sword Insignia (none rotten version).

The weapon has quality affinity so that it has no arcane scaling. Adding points to arcane will not help bleed proc. 10 in arcane is enough to be able to cast bloodflame blade. The bleed effect is very noticeable during fights.

Probably comparable - bleed version has more reliable bleed, while I like this one just a tiny more only due to visual.

im 128 level and increase arcane a litle bit(25) with this same build . is it bad ? its my first playthrough . i wanna some blood loss effect to kill bosses easier

You only need 10 point in arcane. The weapon is a quality weapon which doesn't scale with arcane, in which case arcane won't benefit bleed proc either. Bloodflame blade has fairly high bleed proc rate, and it is good enough in my opinion. You can power stance them, while RoB scales with dex and arcane. Hence you need to choose similar scaling.

You need to acquire Blasphemous Claw item and use it for parrying his attack after you see his blade glow in yellow.

Technically you can use 13 mind. To cast all the buffs (88 FP needed): Golden Vow 47, Bloodboil 21, Bloodflame blade 20 - you can use less if don't mind drink and cast. A full combo of double slash needs 12 FP cost (6 + 3 + 3). 13 mind can cast 7 full combos, and 15 mind can cast 8. I got a little extra for NG+7 when planning the build.

I would go with hero or samurai and you only need to add a few points in str, dex and/or arcane with Radagon's Soreseal to start using nagakiba. In the end, the starting class doesn't matter that much.

When you get to higher level, quality gives you higher AR as you can scale with both dex and str.

yes, this build has 50 faith in NG+7. If you don't have that much faith, you can put Golden Vow AoW on a dagger, which is less effective but you will not use that many faith points to be able to use it.

50 faith only add some damage to the bloodflame blade buff. Fire damage: 0.40 * Faith based Incantation scaling. This build doesn't need lvl 200 to defeat NG+7. You can maintain 12 faith (able to use bloodflame blade) as suggested in the video. The damage probably is not very different.
