Let's face the fact; our situation as a country is complicated. The weakest link in our political landscape is the media. It starts with the wrong questions about topics that are already designed to be underwhelming. The Kenyan media sets the tone on a flat note. The so-called civil society is a fraternity of activists & lobbyists funded by the usual global suspects. They are not driven by anything local. Finally, the political class is exactly what the panelist calls it - 2 sides of KANU. This might sound far-fetched and weird but the day James Mwangi of Equity Bank decides to vie for President, it will be a revolution. Through his "Wings To Fly" infrastructure, he has raised the single most powerful fraternity of young intellectuals and they are from every village. This is Kenya's biggest reservoir of leaders and managers, all raised and trained by a common system. I therefore can bet that after KANU, the obvious next big moment in Kenya's leadership will be a takeover by EQUITY'S "wings to fly" generation. There will be no competition. Mark my words.
Quite a number of the people who ended up in Azimio because of Uhuru, have been hoping that Ruto fails and have been hoping that we who voted for Ruto -especially we, from a certain region-, regret and "learn our lesson" and never go against the muthamaki again - because how dare we not do as we were told? So they badly need William Ruto to fail, just so that they can be right. And it doesn't matter if they suffer as a result of Ruto failing, as long as they are right. So they walk around with delusional thoughts trying to make it make sense because "these people who voted for William Ruto must suffer". Well, I don't know about anyone else but my one vote would still go to WSR, kiroko gia kiroko.
Fact are facts. Ruto has failed and will continue to fail as the worst president in history besides Iddi Amin regardless of your comical statements. It's not about wanting or suffering or wishing this or that. He proves daily of his total clueless and rudderless, pata potea leadership style.
