It's expected. Devices connected to WiFi share the circuit bandwidth so the more the devices connected to a WiFi access point, the lower the throughput

I have Starlink in Australia, and I find it’s great (mostly)! I get consistent 50-80mpbs download speeds throughout the whole day and can do streaming and gaming easily without lag. However! As soon as there is the slightest bit of rain or thunderclouds (which is pretty often where I live), it drops to literally 1mbps and it’s unusable. When it works, it’s great, when it doesn’t, it doesn’t. In saying that, it’s much faster than any other service provider could deliver to my house, so it’s a compromise I’m okay with.

Good service for areas without fiber

A bit confused here, the low upload speed you got that made u go for the 5g router, was it when 20devices were connected or just one device?

The devices getting 3mbps, are they the ones connected to the 2.4ghz band?

MTN 5g router seems like it would beat starlink in develop areas, star link is only good in the villages with low network speed

Starlink has been a bit disappointing so far. ESP when it rains the damm thing just goes out. I think the download / upload speed varies because I see you hitting 200 Mbps while the max I’ve ever reached is 146Mbps down. For upload I get between 12 - 56 Mbps so I think the performance varies by location.

Omo, nothing like mtn 5g router. My download speed averages 150mbps then upload 40-90mbps. My 5g is sharp as razor.

Bandwidth from Starlink is shared. It means if yiu get 100mb/s for a device, that 100mb/s is shared across all devices you connect to the router. Of course internet speeds may vary, since Starlink have their own bandwidth priority policies. This means, for example, they may increase bandwidth for a router in accordance to their policy, which may be due to location, plan or number of devices connected. In short, I think I'm better off with a 5G router in an area with 5G coverage, since using Starlink with multiple people will provide a sub-par experience anyways.
