I liked it too. It’s different to me. I liked most of the sinful sweet & salty collection. Except the two textured ones (chocolate cake & cheese puff). I think they should’ve did a reflective glitter or just regular polish without the texture. And the scent was unnecessary.
That taco one actually makes sense with the glitters looking like cilantro or shredded lettuce, the bar glitters remind me of shredded cheese. I don’t get the feeling of a pineapple when I see multicolored glitters in a yellow/metallic gold base 😂
OPI as a brand sucks ass. Way overpriced garbage. If you ever see a color you like, don't spend 10 bucks on it, check Marshall's because I guarantee they have it 😂
At least this one had a clear vision/theme that they were able to pull off. I feel like the other one was a 'everything but the kitchen sink' kind of polish.
This one actually gives taco vibes but also, because it’s a jelly, the base polish doesn’t coat the glitters so much you can’t see them. I think I kinda like this one even, though the added scent is a little crazy.
I had a similar thought about the gold "ugly" polish. If it were two separate steps so that the glitter wasn't covered in the polish it would have been gorgeous! Maybe thinning it would help. IDK if it can be "fixed", but this one being a jelly solved the problem the other one had.
I like the pineapple one, but I'd always throw at least a thick type clear coat over it. Maybe a very sheer yellow jelly. I absolutely love the taco one, though. And for the first time ever I wouldn't want a scented polish to be scented.
It kinda reminded me of the Gustav Klimt painting, so that's why I liked it. This makes me nauseous to look at, so no thanks. It probably looks prettier in real life, but in the video, I don't see glitter, I see food chunks in sick/ vomit..
I think this polish is so cute! The scent sounds terrible but i love the polish color and glitters, it feels very 90s theater carpet to me and im so here for it
I love odd and ugly polishes so I'm digging this series! One of my favourite uggos is Belugaria by Essie. I looks like chunky black tar with glitters. It's a mess and I love it. 😍
@@TikkaHorse I've never used this particular shade of sinful colors nail polish (and I dont think I ever will haha) but for all of the other scented polishes I own from them, the smell goes away about 30 minutes after it dries
The jelly saved this for sure 😂 Now that I see this and can see the nail line, I wonder if OPI decided to go with a pearly opaque finish to hide the nail line since yellows are sheer. I actually love this, even though I don't usually wear orange, I would buy this for the fun glitters. It looks summery!
This is an excellent follow up! As wretched as it is, the OPI doesn’t make me nauseous. (I had forgotten that I had washed dishes to put myself through college, but this brought it all back.) Anyone remember a KFC nail polish a few years back you could lick? Blahrgg!
I commented on the OPI short. I had thought about this polish at that time (which I also own). I own the complete "Sweet and Salty" Sinful Colors collection. Three are nice (if you like texture), 2 are okay-ish, 1 is hideous.
This one is kitschy and fun, minus the smell. Reminds me of mid-century linoleum or vinyl coverings for floors and counter tops. Plus, it'd look great on my skin tone.
This one is so much better. The problem with opi is just like you said, the yellow covers all the glitters and makes it look clumpy and ugly. If it had been more sheer like this taco one it would've been so much prettier. Not sure why they scented it though 😂
I absolutely flipping love this polish! I’ve wanted it and the Sinful Colors Donut polish from that line forever now but neither came to anywhere near me in Canada, unfortunately. And now Sinful Colors is basically gone, so… 😫😭. I do love me a bar glitter though, so that might be part of why I love them! 🤣
I like it it’s way better I feel opi has a lot of hits but missed it with that glitter and the one I’ve got that has iridescent flakes and was just like yours you showed but this one is pretty
The jelly base works WONDERS. It looks festive and fun. Not something I'd wear every day or even more than one season out of the year, but it's actually cute!
This would look so good with taco nail art, but with different colours on other nails. Like a biege to represent the taco, another with dark brown or green with some art or stencils.
Nah! I absolutely love this one. Wouldn't be able to wear it, but it is actually funky and cool ❤ the glitters do not die in the dye, unlike the pineapple one, which is good!! ❤
