These toxins affect the motor muscles of our body. At the initial stage, your jaw muscles start to get stretched and the jaw gets locked. Thereafter, the muscles of the neck, abdominal, and other muscles of your body start getting stretched out which makes your condition really worse.
As time passes, the infected person starts to get uncommon sweating, fever, and high-low BP. As the complications increase, severe spasms and stiffness in the muscles cause some mild fractures, and it becomes uneasy for the person to breathe, which ultimately leads to death.
Tetanus can also infect someone if his body comes in contact with an infected newborn with the umbilical cord, or shared unsanitary needles.
