I’m trying to figure out all these types of Christianity including Pentecostalism. I struggle to understand what’s the difference between Pentecostalists & Evangelicals.
Her book is definitely full of fear mongering and is not balance. Although she pretends it is. If she would’ve highlighted more the majority positive things these churches have brought. It would’ve been a decent read.
The Faith is the one that does the fear mongering and always has, always will. Pointing out the predatory nature of these pastors who benefit financially from the credulous is a social good and should be shouted from the rooftops.
@@kidslovesatan34 I have no problem for them being exposed, but then change the name of the book. Don’t try to presume you’re doing a complete study of the movement.
@@LK_Ireland The title of the book is Beyond Belief, How Pentecostal Christianity Is Taking Over the World. It's a double entendre and witty for that reason. It doesn't claim to be a study or be complete in any way. I don't understand your criticism.
@@kidslovesatan34 I think the rest of it says”how Pentecostalism is taking over the world.” Speaking of the global Pentecostal church, which is so diverse in so many ways. In the majority of them are simple, people trying to live life with faith in God and are a blessings to their society, not dangerous. She highlights the extreme problems and makes that normative, not a proper approach to true journalism.
@@LK_Ireland pentecostalism is taking over the world, it represents about a third of global Christianity now. It's like a virus that values Faith over reason and science while demanding 10% of your gross income. Many of the pastors live like CEOs with unlimited expense accounts and lavish lifestyles off the backs of working-class people. They do no charity while enriching themselves and is gross immorality; they belong in jail IMO.
