Nolf is too small for this weight imo. Wrestling 157 for so many years then jumping up so much has gotta be challenging.

@@Retics right if it’s 16lbs from his college weight and let’s say he was cutting 8 pounds this would be around his natural weight considering he’s gained some mass since college so he’s not cutting at all to make it so everyone has to be 10lbs minimum bigger and carter looked pretty big here

The fact that nolf was able to get here when he usually wrestles 74kg is absurd. Props to Starocci for placing at such a young age as well Edit: Some Americans in the comments thinking Kilograms = Pounds 😭😭😭

Watching these guys wrestle you have to feel sorry for Kyle Dake. His days are numbered. It took him a decade to claw his way to the Olympic team and these beasts will dethrone him within 3 seasons.

7:33 Carter stays grounded so if Nolf pushes him out, there is no points. Then as he seems to be going out he circles hard and gets an angle on Nolf. He circles as if he wants to improve the angle then hops the complete opposite direction in an instant and scores. Misdirection for 2. Beautiful

7:37 very slick throw by to set up the re shot he really moved him both ways quickly! You normally see guys go toward one side strong for a few seconds then really throw it by the opposite way but he did forced Nolf to do a Barry Sanders type Juke in half a second and was on the leg perfectly!

Its a true shame. Because what that man could do in folkstyle was nasty. Could score from any angle and type of shot or throw then could be a hammer on top lock up craddles , and outscramble most

@@mituscustoms7796 His game is not really for freestyle. Some guys, like me, are better fit in the Freestyle and Greco-Roman styles than folkstyle. Despite having started out in judo and going into folkstyle in HS, i actually hated it and the rules, so I left and went to freestyle and greco-roman. Those are much better than folkstyle, but folkstyle is entertaining at the college level.

Freestyle's just not the same as folkstyle. It's a shame you have to go Freestyle to wrestle after college internationally. It's a lesser form of wrestling in my opinion, way to limited.

Folk style is way more limited. Cant do big throws, lots of moves arent allowed, and it’s too babyfied. Freestyle is way better, theres more action, 5 point throws, and they actually punish you for backing out

@@MistaGrim Stalling from the bottom position is the actual goal in Freestyle, it's penalized in Folkstyle, not to mention the ridiculous "Passivity" in Freestyle is more of a referees ritual than having anything to do with the wrestlers efforts. Btw, your strawman argument is not typical of how Folkstyle wrestling is done from the bottom position.

I'll say it for ya. That was not the Nolf i usually see. he is typically much more aggressive then that. He hardly took a shot. Why, I don't know. Something smells fishy.
