Hello there driver, Just getting back into the trucking scene after a 20 year hiatus. I have over a million miles experience but that make no difference these days because the all seem to want recent experience. I’m fresh out of school (not by choice, by law) with a class A, doubles/triples and a tanker endorsement with no recent experience. Do you think prime would be interested in hiring me to be a company driver? No accidents or tickets on my record. Do they offer a refresher course? If not Prime do you know who else may be interested? I appreciate any suggestions or feedback you may have for me. Thank you and take care
Remember when common sense was what worked. And the csa used to be called csa2010. It’s when the government created the csa score for drivers for the the first time and made it retroactive for the past two years. So whatever violations you had in the past two years counted. Including log book violations. Before 2010 log book violations were just a cost of doing business. It drove a lot of the experience out and ushered in the era of the steering wheel holder.
They're already doing the blitz here in Maine. Every weigh station in the state has been open, some open literally dawn to dusk. The ome closest to me was open at 3 am a couple weeks ago. Most of the inspectors are decent guys. I did have 1 inspector tell me one time to "Settle Down, I'll find a violation eventually." This was after over an hour of him inspecting the truck and i asked him if the fishing expedition was done yet
