This folktale was obtained from the Swedish Fairy Book, and was published in 1921. Although this is a grown up bedtime story, it is not scary despite the fact that the title may make you think so. This Swedish folktale is about a young princess and her devious stepmother. So go ahead and get all nice and snuggly under the covers. I hope the background music and soft relaxing storytelling helps you drift off into a sound and restful sleep!
