Why no mention of the Epson V850 scanner this is far superior to any of the models you have mentioned, these are fine for consumers who just want a reasonable scan but photographers are going to want something producing much better quality. I am sure there must be better scanners than the epson but this is the model I went for based on price and feature a couple of years ago.
Because the title is about slide scanners, the epson is a flatbed. You obviously know your things, you should know the difference from a slide scanner and a flatbed scanner.
Also I’m speculating that the Epson is far more complicated to use than these. I guess I’m looking for something better than those shown in this video, but not $1300 better.
Take a look at the JJC LED light set for negative copying, using one's own camera (in my case a Nikon D5300). Seems better than the Nikon ES-Digitizer. Maybe compare both?
