@@plazma1945 I find the landing guide very helpful and I like to stabilize the descent at about 280-310kmh. With the nose about 5 degrees up (and in the landing guide circle) Edit: make sure to throttle up during flare!
@@plazma1945 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-a9uEYvV43Eo.html that one really did help me. Oh and a fun fact: You need to have the flaps up when engaging high gain nose wheel steering in the MiG or it won't work, I didn't know that for a long time xD
Hmm, interesting. All I hear is people trashing 27ER for how bad it is and how they wish they could carry all 27ET setup. First time I hear someone trying to appreciate these missiles. You do make a good point though.
Go buy an f15 and su27 they are still on sale.. 7.00 each. Or entire flaming cliffs bundle so you get the su25 and a10 as well. Don't buy the steam version buy the stand alone one. For a full fidelity module ( aka. Plane with all clickable interior, f5e or jf17 are both great ways to get overwhelmed in a good way...) Don't get an f18 or f16 to start with they can be overwhelming, lots of electronic crap to click on. Also you can trial all planes for a week for free. So sc3 modules to start with so you can practice air maneuvers etc. And the go from there. Joysticks etc you can start with a Logitech extreme 3d pro. A good simple but button rich joystick
@@jamesblack8166 happy to help! Get the planes now while on sale, next sale probably in spring or summer. www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/modules/
@@jamesblack8166 in general the steam version seems to always be a bit delayed on the sales, and modules. the product is the same in both cases. I did some digging looks like support for steam has gotten better recently: www.reddit.com/r/hoggit/comments/8f3151/getting_started_with_dcs_steam_or_standalone/ i am not sure if you can trial out air craft on the steam version how you can on stand alone.. PS for multiplayer (and really for everything else) get the OPEN BETA version, the "Stable" version is almost not used by the community as all the updates etc and all multiplayer are in Open beta side..
If you can buy on sale then yes. Its a larger faster and bigger plane you also get a datalink so you can see who is coming from where. Yes yes yes 100% :)
Hey Plazma I have a question about recording replays. As you I play in vr. I just made a campaign play trough. When I want to capture the replay, the helicopter is not flying exactly like I did. It looks like flight datas are saved wrong. 3 replays of a successful mission in all replays the helicopter crashed into ground or buildings another way. Any idea?
Damn some of the aircraft will have bugs, I get that whenever I replay someone else's f14 track file. Try to go into the dcs mission editor and open the track file.. You may be able to adjust the aircraft positions from the editor to avoid the crash. Let me know if that works.
Do you have a tutorial for Russians in a head-on BVR fight at altitude? Or is it a lost cause against AMRAAMs? I'm playing the single player campaigns and you can't avoid that...
Yes look for a video about the flanker Mission bomber intercept just type that into the search box on the RU-vid channel and I explain how to fire missiles track them also search for the defeating the F-15 video on the channel that explains how you can maneuver maneuver and press for those shots
Oh yeah there's a video and an actual map you can download to practice notching fox 3 missiles from the Western aircraft should be under popular videos and it's like missile notching tutorial and I even created a map which you can download and run on your computer in your DCS and practice over and over and over again
@@plazma1945 Thanks! That mission is indeed really good for practice. The f18s are kicking my ass though. I have problems to get LA on the ET head-on, even though I'm in the no escape zone. I assume that's because the IR signal is not strong enough?
@@algroyp3r Yes, sometimes you can do an override launch and the ET missile will connect, but more often it will miss. ERs are good for experienced BVR pilots who appreciate the ability of it not being trashed by a simple preventive flare at long distance. I like to practice 1v1 in MiG-29A against an F-16 with 6 AMRAAMs, no AWACS or EWR. It's very difficult to win, but it's doable if you know what to do every second on the way. Hesitation or concentration lapse and you're dead.
what do you mean.. oh you need to have an AWACS if you are RED you need a RED awacs flying around then you get datalink.. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_TKSabICPuY.html grab the map here, you can try notching and turning the awacs on and off in flanker or other planes and see how it works.
