Hi Karthik No doubt, this accident should not have happened. Fourth biggest Railway network and second highest rail passenger travel mode in the world need to be kept in mind when critical about Indian railways. We have come a long way from delays in hours or even days, manual signalling, accidents nepotism, under utilisation of trains wagons, delay in projects, bottle necks for modernization and conservative mind set prevailing then etc. The history of Railways operations was so bad and unforgettable. Train travel was a nightmare and least preferred. Seniors may be remembering that even now. We have to see a big picture of current Indian railways and black dots/accidents that can be wiped out. Speedy response and recovery during accidents like this need to be understood in a right spirit. A ray/sense of pride or appreciation for this Indian Railways transformation is missing in the narration. Constructive criticism and feedback is appreciated.

Dogs in government hospitals, cockroach in railway coaches and now rats in railway offices. Looks like the infrastructure in India has been setup to serve animals and bugs and not humans. If the railway offices were neat and tidy, why would rats pay a visit ? or why would cockroaches board trains (that too without tickets) ?. By the way what happened to the incredible invention called Kavach ?, why the ministry of railways hasn't yet set it up in all the locomotives ?, people in India pay taxes like in Europe and U.S while in return get services like in Uganda or Somalia. Even African countries these days are much better off than India.
