Hi Robin and Laura! Been watching all your videos in preparation for my trip in April. Choosing the best car rental is tricky! Just a few questions, Do you recommend booking the car rental before hand or on arrival? Insurance are expensive! Are insurance premiums advisable?

That s a good question. Most of the prices that we mention are based on a $2.10/L estimate. It seems to be a good average. But we always allow an extra 20% on top of that just in case prices are going crazy. Using this method we usually end up with a good surprise at the end of the trip (ie. we spent less on gas than we planned) But all in all, Gas prices are always an unknown and it is not really something we can do anything about :( We need electric cars NOW!!!!!!!
