I view Reddick like I did Steve Kerr. He's a savant in his own right, and will make one heck of a Coach. Kerr didn't need years to develop into a winning Coach and the biggest thing hold Reddick back will be the Lakers GM. Does he run the group back, or go make a couple of moves that really bring the Lakers a step closer to a real title. The GM is where they failed last year, along with Hams struggles working the clock.

There is a myth around "Give time to the coach". Big Teams/Franchises like Realmadrid, Lakers, Bayern, Man Utd dont just give the manager time. You earn it by winning at a high rate (Popovich, Klopp, Chiefs HC or Steve Kerr). But i also get the other side of the coin. If the organization has been free falling for years, it'd be best to change the way of thinking.

I cannot remember what player it was, but someone says players will be side eying him on things. The conflict of interest will be a distraction. All this talk of Redick being so brilliant….even if true(from a guy who said Bird was not a great shooter, I doubt it, but nice to have good friends I guess), it does not always lead to results as a coach. Redick was a journeyman, while a guy named Gretzky was one of the best, and Gretzky was a horrible coach! If the Lakers make this choice, Lebron and Bronny will be on the team next year.

If JJ gets this and does well, Dan Hurley is going to regret it. Lakers Fan: let’s go JJ!
