Is it really an upset? Seed wise, yes but State has already beaten Tennessee before this season so saying "no one saw this coming" isn't correct. Tennessee needed to win this game because they lost to MSU two months ago

Have noted two stats of significance....Vols attempted 33 from outside the arc (13 for MSST) along with the discrepancy of "points in the paint". Amazing dominance by MSST with the inside game.

Mississippi State should have never been 9.5 point underdogs. Tennessee has been overrated for this past month all because ESPN has intensified the Dalton Knecht coverage. Ziegler is a very small, one-dimensional point guard, James disappears all the time, and the Tennessee bigs are big for nothing. That's not a #1 seed. Arizona will earn it once the Cats win the Pac-12 tournament.

I told my dad that Mississippi St was way better than Tennessee, they play a lot like Kentucky when they can have their way. I was right, Tennessee loses to these two teams back to back games. They can't defend speed.

One team was allowed to play physical. As soon as Tennessee tried to adjust to the way the game was officiated they were called for touch fouls. Made for a game not worth watching. Either let both teams foul or don’t.
