Even if you end up one day without the Bible just keep in mind your Faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ that has died for your sins and was buried and rose on the 3rd day thats all you need. Just have Faith it doesn't cost anything. Now that doesn't mean the Lord will keep you safe and alive as to it is appointed to everyman to die. The law of sin is death. And we are all sinners. Works do not get you into Heaven. Now if you have works and they dont burn up in the hay and stubble when you get to Heaven you will be rewarded for those works. But works do not get you into Heaven. Lets put it this way if you do everything right but dont have Faith then you dont get to go. There is no point system with God for salvation. You either believe or you don't. Now God had to make it this way because mans heart is evil who could know it. So he sent his Son to die on the cross for our sins. Besides if it takes works then how will you ever know you did enough to make it. God is fair always. Also if it took works to get into Heaven then Jesus dying on the cross for our sins would have been pointless. One should have works yes and one should strive to have good works in their life. But at the end of the day because we are all broken and sinful God made it simple for us. Just have Faith in Jesus and what he did for all. Anything could happen in the coming days. One could find themselves in a dungeon without the Bible. So if I had to pick one thing out of the Bible it would be to know Faithfully that Jesus Christ died for my sins and all sins past,present,future. We all fall short of the Glory of God. Without Jesus we would all perish in hell fire. So if you get one thing right out of the Bible it should be your salvation through Jesus Christ even though we don't deserve it Jesus paid the price. Bought a new one a few weeks ago, getting a bit older requires larger print. If it puts me on a list...good. as long as I am on the "Father's list"... is all I care about.
For Christmas 2020, I bought my grandchildren new Bibles accompanied by copies of the Constitution. My Daddy always told me to "know the Bible" and "know the Constitution" and "share both."I am blessed by his wisdom.
We were told about this happening just this week at church. They are monitoring any purchases or donations you make and if too many are to a Christian organization we are being flagged as “radical” and they can suspend our account. I am sure this is just the beginning. Thank you for keeping us informed.
Use God's wisdom when making your purchases. If the state/fed wants to monitor everything, (perhaps that's why nothing beneficial is being accomplished) then I would also purchase a greeting card with the Bible. I would NOT volunteer any information about who the purchase is for.
My Dad taught himself to read with the Bible. If you had a question about anything, he would tell you where to go, but it up telling you what the verse says before you could find it. He knew his Bible inside and out. We lost him 4 yrs ago, and to this day, I don't know anyone who knows their Bible like he did. Miss him so much 😢
Shout out for prayers and love for the pastor in Ohio taken to court for opening his church to the homeless in this weather. Also, Little Caesars Pizza for posting a note on their door ....I don't know where this was. Someone sent it to me. It states...."To the person going through our trash for their next meal...You're a human being and worth more than a meal from a dumpster. Please come inside during operating hours for a couple of slices of pizza and a glass of water at no cost. No questions asked."
I must have flags all over my name. I recently bought a journaling Bible, twelve books for women of faith (one for each month this year), I buy a lot of survival and prepper supplies and shop at places like Tractor Supply. I post Bible verses on a regular basis on my social media and encourage my family and friends to read their Bibles and prepare for an emergency situation. have an old leatherbound bible that was my foster Grandpa's and he gave it to me back in 2001. it went through a housefire in 2004, and was the only thing in the room not burnt up.
My husband will occasionally help out a friend who's business is to clean out homes once estate sales are finished and everything is trash to be cleared out. The bibles are usually left behind. He will always bring them home and we have been gifting some and saving others. It makes me sad that they aren't more treasured.

As a Catholic, we haven't always made reading the Bible a priority but I make it mine now by reading a bit every night. I'm halfway through and can't wait to get to the New Testament. 😃❣️

@@Teri6419so sad they were unfamiliar with it. Scripture is read at every Mass Catholics attend, if they go every Sunday, they hear/read the whole Bible in three years. If they go to Mass daily, they hear and read the whole Bible in a year. 🤷
@@Teri6419 I am a traditional Latin Mass Catholic. John 1:1-14 is read at the end of every Mass in our Church. But that is not the case in the Novus Ordo Mass.
We used to be Catholic, we have moved to FL and now are members of the Church of Christ...we have learned more from the Bible in the last 3 years than we ever did as Catholics.
I am a Canadian citizen living in Canada and we have lost 97 churches that were intentionally set on fire across Canada. I have watched them close most of the Christian bookstores………Pastors we’re thrown in jail for preaching the gospel during the pandemic. My children's Sunday School Teacher gave all her students a new Bibles as Christmas presents. She got the books for free But, she painted beautiful flowers/ animals on the front covers with acrillic paint. They are so lovely. I was just in awe.
Donated to the Gideon's and they gave me 35 of their New Testament Bibles because I wanted to have them on hand when people come by asking for food they will also get a Bible. I've also wiped out the local book store of affordable Bibles as well. If I'm gone and people come to take what I have they will also get a good dose of Jesus! 74 year old gal on my farm... just waiting.
About a year ago I ordered new Bibles from Amazon online, for myself and my grandchildren. Pretty pink ones for the granddaughters just to encourage them a little more. My daughter texted me one day soon after that and told me she thought I would be happy to know that her two little girls were at that moment reading their Bibles that I gave them!!
In the 60s I had my Bible confiscated at a public school… I was in the second grade… I had brought my Bible for show and tell. It was given back to me at the end of the day, but I still remember the incident.
This is a real story! I was in my office this morning thinking about my daughter in college. I was putting together a care package to send her and decided to put a nice bible in there for her. I listened to Focus on the Family Radio Theater's "Bonhoeffer: The Cost of Freedom" awhile ago. I was shocked at the similarities between Pre-WWII Germany and our world today.
Again, my mum told me this was going to take place. I was around 12 & she told me this would all start in my 50’s .. here we are. She had so much wisdom & discernment. I see what’s going on because she prepared me. I’m very blessed & thankful to God for her. Also, thankful for Patara for keeping us in the loop. God will always be my #1. No matter what happens. Amen ✝️ 🙏 Thank you, Patara. Please do not stop sharing the Good News. A few years back, I had a confrontation with the Bible. A relative asked, "Why are you preparing? Don't you know God is going to supply your need?" I got on my knees, Bible in hand, and prayed for God to show me. HE DID! I've read the entire Bible, cover to cover, more than once. The words just leaped out of The Book. My reading expanded to seeing it as a Survival Manual. I could go on, but I will stop with this. Read the entire chapter of Philippians 4 instead of a selecting a single verse or phrase. You may be surprised on what you discover. Always pray first, ask God to show you what HE wants you to see. 🙏
I agree with you Patara…it is so important to memorize scripture as much as possible. My Father used to stress this to me when I was little and I ALWAYS ask the Holy Spirit to help memorize scripture to this day! Thank you for sharing this pivotal information. Ive purchased 2 new Bibles in the past couple months. I also made sure i bought my two toddlers each their own children's study Bible. They're too small for them yet, the bibles are geared toward 6-12 year olds, but i worry that when theyre big enough for them the Bible will be outlawed 😢 things are getting crazy out here!
I'm 72 yrs. old and my mother had been in heaven for 30 yrs. She told me at least 40 yrs. ago to hide a bible someplace. There's going to come a time when "they'll" take them. I hate to say that it's coming. Love you lots❤

My kiddo works at Cabelas, who's parent company is Bass Pro. We have many Bibles in many languages. We're Jewish. I guess we're prime targets now, just like my family was in Nazi Germany. They barely survived the Holocaust. God help us.
I've been looking for a larger print Bible (so I can read without my glasses) the past few weeks. I put it off because of cost and that I already have 2. After hearing this I'm ordering one today and hitting the thrift stores. Also I have a few in a box in the garage I usually carry in my car to give away when I'm prompted to stop for someone in need: a hug, a word of encouragement, letting them know they are seen, they matter, they're loved, a bottle of water, a snack. The people at my husband's work were giving out Christmas cards and small gifts this year.One man gave out a book of the New Testament to everyone. Most thoughtful gift we received.❤

They’ve been flagging Bible purchases since 2021, I believe. That’s when I bought mine. 😂 Then, a few days ago, I got a call from some guy who could barely speak English who said his last name was Anderson (yeah right) and he was an FBI agent. I hung up on him. I figure IF he was an FBI agent, he would have been at my door getting ready to bust it down, guns blazing, etc.
Every Saturday we have a 45min prayer of the Patriotic Rosary for the Consecration of Our Nation. We mention each state, a government office, sing a patriotic song, and a reading from one of our forefathers along with our prayers. An unbelievable 🙏 ✝️ profound experience.

My father was a pastor. He was my first teacher and he modeled what it was like to know our LORD and Savior Jesus. He placed into my hands a Concordance, not only that, but he placed into my hands The Complete Works of Josephus, a library of different books of the Bible that were sermons for pastors. So Yes! Learn The Word of The LORD, and Know It Well! Study It. Go deeper in your study. And Yes, if you can memorize it, Wonderful!!! And then… Walk It Out, share the Gospel and be a Light in a lost world. 🙏🏼
As soon as I found out they were tracking these purchases, I went out and bought a Bible to add to my "collection". I plan to start writing the scriptures to help with my memorization.

Hubby actually watched this vlog! I told him that Patara said awhile ago to accumulate Bibles and books! I've had several versions and sizes throughout our home. My memory is not like it use to be, but I will use the Condordance to find the scriptures I'm looking for. ❤😊❤
In our 46 years of marriage, we’ve given away so many Bibles. We have even bought Russian language bibles and “by chance” someone in the church was going to Russia on a missions trip. We gave them the Bible’s. This was probably 30 years ago. My Bible and my toy will always be by my side. So thankful that you’re giving this advice today. Blessings to you and your viewers!
I ain't skeered! ; ) I bought a case of "The Scriptures" a few years ago, to hand out and have extras on hand. And, I'm in the market for a physical copy of an ESV, currently, as well. I'm okay with being on a list of known readers of the Word, and prepared for the persecution that follows. Physical Preps are great, but Spiritual Preps are eternally important. Hang in there, saints...Read the book; Do what it says!

I have 5 KJV Bibles: One with wide margins for note taking, one Thompson Chain Reference Bible, Hebrew-Greek keyword Bible, small Bible for travel, and one giant print Bible because of I was having trouble seeing the print in the others. Yes, I wear glasses. I still use the others for research. I saw the movie "The Insanity of God" where a Russian man in a Russian prison wrote Bible verses from memory on tiny strips of paper and placed them high up where he hoped no one would see them. The guards found it and took them down. He began to sing hymns every day. Then one day, to the astonishment of the guards, all the prisoners began singing along with him, having memorized the hymn from hearing it day in and day out.
Had a conversation recently with 21 year old stepson about the state of the world. I said that we need to be praying to get ourselves right in our souls and said a few things about prayer. He said "I'd really like to read The Bible sometime" Thanks for the idea for gift
I have 4 in my home and 1 small New Testament Bible in my emergency bug out bag because if something happens and we can't stay in our home what a Blessing to have it with me for Courage, Inspiration and Guidance during evil, trying times.
Several months ago during prayer time, I asked God what He wanted me to do for what we all are facing. Immediately, the words "get ready!" we're loud and clear! I understood that for me to personally get ready...for what, not sure. So I pursued that further and was overwhelmed with the need to get Bible's. Not sure why, but assumed that just like other preps, we should have extra, just in case. I went to Half Price Books and just bought one here, one there. I didn't want to be known as "that Bible lady". Bibles of all translations, some brand new, but all in great condition, and very affordable. So, until I am told otherwise, I will continue to stash them away for others who may be in need. Love you, Patera!

I ordered a bible on Amazon, it took around 3 months for me to find out the bible was not going to be delivered, even though the bible company had dispatched through Amazon - Amazon for some reason FAILED to deliver it, In the end I was given a refund, I went directly to a church book shop and purchased my bible there!!!

I grew up in a home that didn’t have a Bible. My grandmother lived next to us and she had one, went to church every Sunday until her health wouldn’t let her. I don’t remember her talking to us about the Lord. I remember getting a Gideon’s Bible in fifth grade. I walked around the field roads and read/tried to read it , problem was I had never read the Bible or heard the stories and at this age I couldn’t understand much of what I read. BUT I knew it was important. After I accepted Jesus into my heart at 24 years of age and attending church I can remember the pastor making references to different Bible stories and then he would say” y’all know the story “ Problem was I had never heard them. God gave me a hunger to know those stories. I attended training classes where I would know more and more of God’s word. I’m so thankful for the Gideon ministry and for all they do to get God’s word into eager hands all around the world ….🙏🏻❤
The Bible is written for the average person to understand. Once you begin reading it, it might be hard at first, might not understand everything at first but you will get it and it will be easier. It is God's book about men.
I'm 68 years old and I still have the Bible that I received from the Gideon Society in the fourth grade at public school!! Back then Bible distrbution in the schools was allowed. I will continue to memorize large portions of Scripture so that God's Word will be "hidden in my heart"-a place where no one can take it away from me!!
We gave our sons, their spouses and nephew each a new Bible for this past Christmas. Also gave my husband a new study Bible as well. We have many Bibles here so we are prepared to give God’s Word when the opportunity presents itself. I’m thinking of ordering more along with copies of the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights. I don’t worry about being on some flagged list. The only list I want to be on is our heavenly Father’s list. Thank you, Jesus for the blood!

I'm looking at 2 of my bibles (different versions) sitting next to my laptop. Every time I go my local Family Dollar I pick up 2 Bibles. They are KJV for $1.25 each.
I donated $ to cover the cost of a bible to gift to a confirmation student at our church! I got mine as a gift when I was confirmed and it is one of my most treasured gifts.

Took 2 months to finally get it. I finally sent an email and told them to send me my Bible and quit asking me questions if I still wanted it!
Funny, you mention this. One of my granddaughters, who is in college, visited me for a few days during Christmas break, and she mentioned she was reading the Bible but having trouble understanding the wording of it. I just happened to be stocked up on extra NLT versions because it is easy to understand and because you had mentioned having extra Bibles to give away. It was such a blessing to me to talk with her and give her a new Bible. Opportunities present themselves. It was good to be prepared. You know, I’m almost 62 years old, and I have probably 30 Bibles in the house, most I will start to share, pass out as gifts to anyone who would like one. In addition, I think I will buy a Bible today, just so that they can add me to their list. This is a list I would find great honor in being on. I’m not afraid of these little people’s list, I am planted, rooted and washed in the Blood of Jesus of Nazareth! No man can harm my soul, it’s firmly secure in the hands of my Savior, Christ Jesus. So why poke the bear, by buying another Bible? Because these people don’t have a clue who their up against. Their up against the living God, the creator and sustainer of all life, of everything in existence. Nothing can thwart His Kingdom, especially some silly little government list. Also try to get an old hymnal if possible. The old hymns are full of scripture and singing in the 3/4 time helps the brain to remember. Also, Ellie Holcomb is a modern artist on RU-vid that sets scripture to music.
My teen went to a summer session at Patrick Henry College to study Constitutional Law for a week in the summer of '21. I bought him his own Bible for the trip as there was daily Bible study as well. So I guess I can be sure I'm on a list somewhere, between purchasing a Bible and sending my son to educational summer camp at a strongly R school! Two strikes against me. I'd think it funny if it wasn't so scary and disgusting. They make more effort to track those who shop at Bass Pro than those entering this country. Let that sink in a moment...

I don’t have a bible but I plan to accept your challenge and get one on Valentine’s Day. 2 of my kitties were just diagnosed with cancer with other health issues so it’s been a struggle here.
