What he pointed out is that the club cannot keep up with the level of signings of Real Madrid at home and big clubs abroad (Man Utd, City, Bayern,etc) Barça spent 3.5 milll € for the first team last season (plus Vitor Roque who was not Xavi's priority but he supported his comming , as he's always supported everything that the management have done) Everyone kmows what Xavi said. We fans are not stupid, not all at least. What Xavi said was obvious. We do have excelent players, but not an excellent squad, as we lack a holding midfilder worthbthst name, since Gavi got innured we have no defensive midfiders at all, no left winger..... You can't do well uf you havevto pkay Gündogan or De Jong as a pivot. We are lucky Xavi's worked so good with the kids from the youth categories, trained them for months with the first team and they've become huge pkayers. Otherwise we wouldn't even have a right winger. He's also adapted Christensen as a holding midfielder, which is possible since nowcwe have one more quality centerback in Cubarsí. Of course after all these changedvwe can compete, but it's not as if you could sign top class players in their prime. I mean, look at Madrid, City, look who they can afford to sign year in year out.

Idk why barca fans are complaining about Xavi. It's not barca performance that become bad. It's Madrid that improved greatly. Last season Barca got 88 points. They won once and also lost once against Madrid. This season they can get 85 points because they lost twice against Madrid in the league. If this was last season, they can actually still won the league because last season madrid only got 78 points. However, this season Madrid really improved with the addition of Bellingham and they can get 99 points if they won last 2 games. It's basically not Xavi's fault and Barca performed almost the same as last season.

These two reasons for Laporta to be furious with Xavi are non-issue. Any Coach coaching a big team like Barca must not accept as normal the financial contraits currently facing Barca, why should Xavi then accept and just be happy with this, it his head on the block . Secondly, the issue about Vitor Roque is also a non-issue, its not like we expected him to rescue the team in the second half, he is a teenager he came early to learn and aclamatise. he need time (hopefully not as long as Vini😂).
