Caitlin has the most career points and the highest scoring average for women's basketball... there's plenty of other records - rebounds, assists, highest 3 point percentage, number of final titles, so no, Caitlin does not have all the record, so "every record in the book" is nonsense, plus she hasn't won a college title. But I agree with you in that Caitlyn will be ready for the W and she's definitely bringing excitement to the league
Wilson has won championships and mvp awards. That has done nothing to make people want to watch the WNBA. They have never made a profit. Clark is going to change that for the entire league, especially for the team that picked her, and any team they visit. The players should thank her because they will all benefit from her helping the league make money.
Older WNBA players did not uplift the women’s league during their earlier days and the attendance is not impressive. Young players from the top 10 especially the recent draft are now bringing the popularity of the game.
What had Diana Taurasi or Aja Wilson do to increase the WNBA? They should have been doing something to help, that their fault but Caitlin Clark is trying to upgrade Basketball a game she loves! Shame on them.
Before Caitlin had a shoe deal, she had already proven she can move merchandise. Nike sold out of the T-shirts they did for the "You break it" and "Never a long shot" ad campaigns. Her jersey sold out in an hour. ESPN printed a magazine on her. RayGun sold a bunch of different Clark shirts. So the shoe deal already had some background on if people would buy her stuff. That makes a huge difference in marketability of a player. If you can't sell something simple to manufacture like a T-shirt, something complex like a shoe isn't going to happen. And it's probably not going to be only shoes. I could see a signature Nike basketball and other accessories.
There jealousy is discusting. Caitlin Clark can and is doing a lot for womens sports. Which Nike and State farm see as marketing opertunity which means more money for everybody. A win, win for everyone. But these egotistical jealous player want to throw it away for nonsense. They need to grow up.

I’m sure some are hating, but others are hurting. If you have worked for years for a few thousand per year and a rookie gets millions, it would hurt a lot. It is not fair. I agree that Clark is good for the game of basketball, but the disparities need to be called out. Just like people were upset about Clark’s starting salary and spoke out, these other ladies have been making the same amount for decades. It’s not Clark’s fault, but you can’t blame other players for wanting more money.

I played in little lieague i do not mean to compare but when my team picked up a good player I liked because we won more games. That is all we got out of it. But for me it was a driving force to play better and I did, I became very competitve. I wounf up getting MVP 3 years in a row. I was never in to basketball because I was never good at it. I saw the game when Iowa came to Albany NY. I have to say I was impressed with all the ladies and I enjoyed watcing the games. I think more people will watch so more ladies will get noticed. There will alwasy be someone who will be better. I think they could ride this wave and be very successful. I hate to see people pick on other people because it has happen to me and I would hate to see a oppertunity go waste.
That's mostly from endorsement deals, buddy.... if you are marketable, people will pay you.... why do you ask? People will watch them whether they hate or love them, they will watch Companies like that so they pay them th4 big bucks. A good example is dak Prescott from thr cowboys. I think her comments and similar by other WNBA posters just show their lack of understanding of business and sports. People don’t care if you’re a solid WNBA player because the product is bland. I don’t need to see a woman score 20 points off layups and short range mini jumpers and collect 10 flat footed rebounds. It’s not at all exciting. You need to give me something or someone to care about or entertain me with some flash and flair. Flashy passing and long range on the move shooting are two of the few areas the WNBA can actually look and feel fun.

I live in Vegas, kinda thought we had a wnba team but was not sure. I just found out they are back to back Champs. I don't know where they play or anything about the team. I do know a lot about Caitlin Clark and her Iowa team and I will follow her on her new team the Indiana Fever.

There is nothing special about Caitlin Clark. She is not overly tall, fast, strong and can't even dunk. However, she is nice, has an amazing work ethic, she is competitive and seems to love the sport. A good roll model in every way....No a day's...That is enough!

IT must be a slow news week because these new players have been rewarded for the work that former player did by them being able to make money in college and come into the Wnba are any league.
