BEWARE OF BOATERS!!! On this trip, I had a wake up call! One that made me realize that boaters may not always be able to see you, and that they aren’t thinking about who’s in a blind spot! While crappie fishing and slaying slabs, I had two boats come flying past well within 30 to 40ft of me! The first boat didn’t realize that I was sitting right near the bank in an area that was blind to him, but the second boat knew there was a possibility that I was there as he passed me at an idle speed just minutes prior. Startling situation, but one to learn from, mostly for the boaters hugging a bank!
Thankfully, I didn’t get hurt and I was able to keep fishing! And after thinking it was going to be a tough day, I ended up with a nice batch of fish!
