Custom Meren of Clan Nel Toth CEDH Deck Tech. The best golgari commander. This deck contains a Protean Hulk fast pile win alongside a back up Witherbloom//Chain of Smog combo. It relies upon Meren to grind late game and is resilient against stax. CEDH, fast, proactive, and punishing as well. Meren is by far the best starting commander if you're getting into CEDH.

can body snatcher be replaced with young necromancer? its a 5 drop but other 2 needed are 1 drops so it stills fits in the 7 mana value.

Body snatcher would be better in that case since you don’t require the extra two cards needed for exile to combo off

Do you prefere stax or combo? Because with combo Ghave beats her with stax karador beats her i still like her more than both of them just cause lol also why necromany instead of dance of the dead?

Necromancy is instant speed, you can instantly win instead of needing a sac outlet and a reanimating spell.

Regarding the first part. You need both stax and combo if you want to win most consistently but rely more on the combo when building initially

I have a meren deck that I have been working on and I won for the first time with her today I am so happy so much so that she's my new pet commander, also my friend said that body snatcher isn't that good with her cause of the exile effect he has which I can kinda see as if you dont have a creature to discard at the time hes kinda just sitting in your hand doing nothing my deck works awsome with out it anyway also I find that fauna shaman isn't that good with meren as it has to wait a turn before it can do anything and it can be killed before its active evolutionary leap is better cause it's harder to get rid of as its an enchantment

Nice I’m glad you’re enjoying it!! I prefer fauna shaman because you’re guaranteed to get your combo if it stays out and it’s repeatable. Evolutionary leap could put some of your unwanted combo pieces into your hand because of its randomness but it is still good as a sac outlet and filter card.

@@BlackMase well even if some of you pieces are in the yard meren can c Get them back for you or im sure you have reanimate spells in your deck, or you could use living death to get it into play which is something I almost did until I got another combo before hand
