10k a day while teachers and NHS staff are getting less than 30k a YEAR and the Government has a go at them for being on strike! The system is completely broken, and this guy is pathetic. A clown!
he would just use his time to rummage around for whatever money you have around the house and then claim it as expenses. Then after he has trashed the place he will walk away
To be fair to him he did mention actually being and MP and I think he was the only one to mention constituents. He also says no to being asked to lobby. He actually seems less sleazy than the others.
I run a recruitment business in financial services and have seen some excellent interviews from candidates & some terrible ones. These MP’s would be in the bottom 10% of zoom interviews I’ve ever witnessed….and I’m dealing with people under 30 with very little experience!!! Why are our MPs so thick????
its by design. they are essentially dolls used to push the will of people that cant even summon the humanity of ghouls like hancock. fungible politician units, to be replaced when they become to toxic. If the actual people in control were visible, we me start asking to get rid of them
Er, like it's always been, it's not what you know it's who you know...And public school turns out some really thick people that still get a leg up in life. They say people who didn't attend public school 'lack polish', is this a hidden admission that you can indeed polish a turd?
The shocking thing is not that Hancock asked for £10,000 per day, it's that he is allowed to do so under the current rules. If this government had a tiny drop of decency, they'd ban second jobs for sitting MPs or at the very least, set ceilings on the amounts they can charge..
the big story from this, is that these MP's don't actually do any *work*. Some of them appear to have 3 or 4 other jobs, how can they be representing their constituency properly in that case?
The can’t and they don’t - they represent the selection panel who selected them and the investors they represent. The throw a few pence to the peasants who then worship them.
@@mmm-bi1my corrupt in the sense that its immoral that these upperclass types go into politics as a career move and then get rich from using there power and authority in the government to prop up companies that aim to undercut local working peoples wages and ability to own property through investment firms and consultancy positions.
These videos demonstrate in a nutshell why greed has left this country with no publicly owned services and utilities. Time to get this greedy self serving bunch out.
No it would not. You do not know what you are talking about. It is only a conflict of interests if the work he does as a consultant has conflicting interests with his work as MP.
No, a conflict of interest had to related to a specific scenario. For example, the Home Secretary also running a prison. Or the minister for transport doing consulting work for Saudi Armco. An MP doing consulting work for a finance company is not necessarily a conflict of interest.
The only reason he’s upset about this is that he’s not getting another lucrative gig. Look at the money he made from PPE, and he’s still on the lump. No matter how much they earn it’s a bottomless pit, it’s never enough.
Skate - they are all sleazy - and most of them are ex prime ministers now. Costing the taxpayers a fortune in protection and unearned income. No wonder they are literally laughing all the way to off shore banks.
Anyone else think it's super sus that both Hancock and Kwarteng we're both using their secretary/assistant's computers for these calls? Slimey buggers covering their tracks
We were in lockdown for months the elderly locked in their own houses if living with anyone else they had to be separated from the rest of the house, isolation, from everyone at Christmas. I hate these nasty Tories.
Exactly my thoughts when he said that...we don't need them...we have never needed them...the fact is, they are the cause of so much strife in this world.
Other than his former boss,Boris and the actor Tom Hiddleston I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone so blissfully ignorant of his own shortcomings and lack of talent and with such an overwhelming deficit of self awareness.
@@ollie4118 watching him sing “Man in the mirror” did it for me.I believe it’s what the younger generation call cringe or ick, either way it was embarrassing.
As a teacher and father and a grandfather I would like to say thank you to Matt Hancock, such a wonderful example to my many students of the best of male integrity and humility and humanity. At present I cannot summon up the saliva to spit 🙏
This sort of man poses a real problem. You want young people to grow up into decent adults: unselfish, kind, generous. And then along comes someone like this, and he seems to prosper. You can nevertheless use him in two ways. Firstly, as an example of how _not_ to behave. Secondly, you can use a video like this, made by the magnificent 'Led By Donkeys' group, to show that he has made a fool of himself in public, simply by his own greed. This greed has caused him to fall for a hoax. He couldn't be bothered to find out if 'Hanseong Consulting' was genuine. You can also point to the almost 100% feelings of dislike, verging on disgust, for this man. By the way, I like the fact that he has complained about his 'privacy' being compromised. He has used his public persona to enrich himself, with the public office that he has been elected to, very much in second place. He has forfeited all right to privacy when he misuses his public office in this way.
Out of perhaps 50 Zoom interviews I have had with candidates for new graduate opportunities, Hancock would be by far the least impressive. Yet some thousands of people in West Suffolk must have voted for him.
Unfortunately, people rarely vote for individual MPs. They often instead vote for the party as a whole, or the leader of the party. I highly, highly doubt anyone has ever looked at Matt Hancock (let alone many other MPs) and genuinely thought to themselves "yes. He's the one. I want him to represent me and my local area in parliament."
£1500 an hour £10000 a day😮 What exactly can he do to justify that kind of wage? Amazing ow they are willing to talk about money before they even know what will be asked of them at these meetings?
Like their PPE contracts, this is a prime example of how little importance they place on company authenticity or background checks when they are promised a few thousand quid!
@@T5Zplayer As if these sort of roles that MPs take on (usually Tory MPs) are anything other than lobbying / bribes for foreign interests? Companies would only pay that sort of money for political influence. Also, the naivety to even do the job interview without having researched the company to find out more re: who is offering vast sums of money for such little work. Wouldn’t you do a quick Google first?!
He did nothing illegal, it’s not corruption as MPs are allowed to do other jobs. He said in the interview his role as an MP takes priority, if you get the chance to make a load of cash by selling on the side of your job you would be an idiot not to take it.
@@andybellklas1678 wow… why do people called Andy all seem to believe ANY company is paying such vast sums of money for such little work 😂 Companies will pay it precisely because they know they can buy political influence and get what they want. I’d call that putting the interests of companies (often foreign) above what’s good for our country. Yes it is CORRUPTION.
We need to rid our governments of these grifters and put people in charge who want the best for our country. Sending millions to foreign countries while we are struggling to keep our health services while politicians get rich? This is immoral. We need real change.
Let me get this straight. MPs will receive a £2200 pay rise in April, bringing total basic salary up to £84,144 per year while teachers, doctors and nurses, who are on considerably less, need to strike so that this govt will sanction a pay rise - in this cost of living crisis. Even though they’re paid a substantially better wage to run the country than most of their constituents, they still want more to look after someone else’s interests?
Notice the 'until' that was slipped in. Once this slimy excuse for humanity is no longer a sitting MP, it'll no longer be subject to rules on approaching sitting ministers.
interesting that wasn't it, almost like he felt he was doing something shady. Think Kwarteng also did something similar although that may have been just using his assistant's office cant quite remember now,.
@@25johnlowe Yeah definitely. Why would you not use your own laptop if you think what you are doing is perfectly proper? There could be a technical limitation on his own device but then the technical limitation is likely in place for a reason.
He thinks he is worth £10000 per day I almost fell off my seat laughing. How in title are these people. They can't even do the job they have. This should be against the rules. This also shows they only care about their own pockets not the public duty which makes me so sad. This country has so many problems at the moment and we have this lot.
i like the fact that his constituents don't really need him much for about six months of the year. i believe what sums up this man is his demeanour as Sunak by-passed him in the meet and greet - still clapping still smiling still willing to do whatever it takes to take whatever is willing.
Is there a reason the two most prominent MPS caught up in this sting have been using laptops which dont belong to them? Surely MPs are commonly on zoom ans teams everyday - beleivable?
We get 1,000 less amonth running a shop and keeping the community going, this slime gets 1,500 an HOUR. How do we keep letting this be considered normal ?
I haven't watched all this series of videos. But of all the ones that I have, I am absolutely amazed that not one of these, so called, clever people did any background checks, even on the legitimacy of the company in question! With the exception of Mat Hancock. I'm not surprised at all that he didn't do any if that.
Both him and Williamson should be kicked out of Parliament. They obviously know they are going to be out of a job in the next year and are trying to feather their nests,. MPs should not be s allowed to have second jobs.
Lol my contract says I can't work another job without permission, and definitely not for a competitor. But if you're in the government, corporations paying you can't result in conflict of interest.
These are a fascinating view into these guys minds when they are not in media mode. Great work!!!! Kwarteng certainly the most fast and loose, no big surprise there considering he thought he was on a game show when it came to making fanatical mortgage destroying decisions.
MPs should be elected for one term only and be paid whatever average they were earning over the previous 3 years. No other jobs and no other earnings. If they don't like it then don't stand. Then we gave to do a similar thing to civil servants and councillors.
The disregard he has for his and his party's conduct during the pandemic and the relish with which I'd stuff his own pockets with cash is utterly tawdry. He covered his mouth when he asked for 1500 an hour no doubt because he couldn't stop himself grinning. He has all the grace of David Brent delivering a motivational speech.
We need more investigation into what our paid MPs are getting up to when they are supposed to be working. Should they not have minimum number of hours spent doing a their MP duties, say 40 hours per week?
Its kind of a sad state of affairs when our leaders in this country not only totally lack competence but they dont even want to be there. The extreme vitriol the general public has towards politicians just for being politicians is probably why no sane, decent person wants to become a politician. This is the end result.
