Rented in Louisville from Thrifty - I returned 4 hours earlier - and they CHARGED ME ADDITIONAL $50 for early return(!!!) - when I was picking up the car, they told me early return is fine. Filing a complaint with BBB. Garbage company, NECER again :( - Spirit airlines of car rental. Shame on you!!!
Wow, that is appalling! I’m sure they will get to the point that no one will use them as they’re so focused around scamming people out of money. It’s terrible isn’t it.
In Dec 2022 we spent 1.5 hours in the queue only for them to have no cars. That we had already bought & paid for. They told us to come back the next day.
Last week we waited 3 hours in line at Dollar in Orlando and were also charged for items we didn’t accept. The car had a light dangling by the pedals and the inside of the windshield was filthy. It was the worst consumer experience of my life.
Wow, that’s terrible, we did get our charges refunded, we had to contact their support when we got home and they sorted it for us. It’s awful service isn’t it.
You should have walked over to the other terminal desk, terminal A is normally quieter than terminal B when you arrive, its actually the same building just on the opposite side. I've actually rented with Dollar for the first time in a while this Sept, used to have an express membership where you just go straight to the parking garage but looks like its been scrapped now and still have to go to a check in desk 😢
Just come across this and we had the same experience. Over a two hour wait when all of the other counters were empty. I would never rent with them again
Same thing two weeks ago with THRIFTY at San Francisco. Upon arrival was informed by THRIFTY REPRESENTATIVE that NO VEHICLES were available. In fact, vehicles were in question for that day. Myself along with hundreds of other in the queue were left with nothing for our trip. I tried calling for remedy outside of airport to be informed that a vehicle would be $750. per day in city. I rented from HERTZ (parent company) for more than 3X the rate I was promised, reserved and paid for through THRIFTY. What compensation is available in this matter? This would seem to me at most to be quite illegal in a "bait and switch" tactic or at least highly unethical to cause such mental injury and anguish to countless families on their trip.

Hi Sam…can’t believe how calm you stayed. I would have taken issue with the car rental company with such wait times. A tip for you in the future…Our experience with Alamo has been much better as we’ve booked all our Orlando car hire through a British owned broker recommended by almost all the Disney You Tube vloggers…it’s Discount Florida Car Hire.
