Hi Robin and Laura. You guys have an amazing channel and website! I'm currently obsessively planning my trip to New Zealand and your videos and articles have been a great help! I'm planning on travelling by Intercity coach buses and having never travelled by coach bus before, am confused about how the luggage is stored in the bus. Is it stored in overhead bins? How much time will I have to store/remove mu luggage as I board or disembark the bus? Also, do I need to press a stop button to signal the driver before my stop? Thank you!!Sheetal

Super happy to know that we are helpful ;) To answer your questions simply: - The luggage are stored on boarding under the bus - The driver will get your luggage in and out - No stop buttons, the driver will call stops.

@@NZPocketGuide For example are YHA hostels located near to all the Intercity bus terminals both North and South Island. Thanks.

There are no chain of hostels that have a policy to be close to intercity bus stops so it can be Base, YHA, or small independent hostels that are closest to intercity bus stops. It depends on each towns.

Hey guys I ran into a problem: I wanted to open a bank account with ANZ but today they told me at my appointment that an AirBnB is not a valid proof of address. Furthermore they said that I have to know for a 100% if I am a tax resident in my home country (Germany) or not. Well...how do I find this out? I've searched the web and didn't find a thing..... But ANZ told me that if I give a false statement about whether I am or I am not a German Tax Resident, they have to fine me for thousands of dollars....

That is correct,m as mentioned in an other video about opening a bank account, you will need a proper address like a hostel, not an Airbnb. As per your tax status, sadly none of us is german so we do not know the process for german tax system sorry :(

This is the most confusing for planning purposes. Which one is best value, noticed we are not calling it cost. It can be higher cost but better value. Concerned about privacy.

For privacy your best value for money will be motels, they have cooking facilities in each rooms and lots of privacy without huge price tags. Next week, we will be releasing a massive series or motel related articles on backpackerguide.nz with all our favorite in each cities, maybe you could start there ;)

@@NZPocketGuide Thank you! We are planning 30 days in New Zealand and 30 days in Australia with 7 days in Fiji and 7 days in Cook Islands. We are trying to figured out the best order. We saw an expedition trip to Fiji for $1100. New Zealand is the center of our trip dough. Any suggestions are appreciated. We are looking at Oct 2020.

Best is to do Australia, then Fiji, Then New Zealand. Use the tips and recommendations on Fijipocketguide.com to plan your trip to Fiji, avoid packages deals.

@@NZPocketGuide Wow! Thanks. We got a travel agent to built and itinerary for 30 days in Australia for two people for $15K USD. We are following your recommendation sequence, it makes sense other than flights to Australia are much more expensive than New Zealand or Fiji. We also are working with the Foley Food Family wineries (5) in New Zealand to arrange visits. Some of them are not opened to the public. We have dream about this trip for years. We have no time limit at this time but figured about 3 months of travel.
