honestly didn’t really come off but i was also not there for it. i’ve heard from others that you can often heat gun it off but if you don’t want to go to the hassle i would just get command strips or be prepared to repaint the wall later lol

Heyy Soolin! This video was super helpful! I got into Northeastern for the Design major. I wanted to ask you about your thoughts regarding this major. I’m trying to make a choice between another college and NEU (i wanna do like user interaction design 🥰) so I thought I’d ask if you think the NEU design major is a good fit? Honestly because I’m a combined major I take half business and half design classes so I kind of get half the experience if that makes sense lol. I honestly don’t have much to compare to in terms of design classes at other colleges but I will say if you’re going fully into design and got into a more focused art school I would probably recommend those, especially if they’re more affordable than NEU. I can’t say NEU is the best school for design, especially not compared to actual art schools but it’s definitely not the worst? Sorry, I just don’t have a lot to compare it to so I can’t confidently say that Northeastern has the best design classes but I mean a lot of CAMD students do find co-ops and later on get jobs and I think the co-op program can definitely be super beneficial for design students since experience is really important when entering the design industry but if you got into an art school or a school with a better reputation for the design program I can’t say Northeastern would be better for you. Super roundabout answer but hope that helps? 🙈😅

@@nandinighosh7338 Of course! I’m happy to help! They’ll definitely let you change your major lol. You could request it now through the portal and they’ll approve it. I got in as a Studio Arts BFA major and as soon as I got in I switched to Business and Design Combined Major after researching more about Northeastern and they approved it without asking any questions. Northeastern is one of those schools that’s like “we believe that our students will succeed no matter the major” so it’s really easy to switch and earlier is honestly better since even though they’ll let you switch in the future as well, it’ll be harder since you’ll need to meet all the credit requirements!

it really depends, if you’re low income you’ll get a lot more than you’d think, sometimes it still won’t be enough but you can always try to appeal. if you’re middle income it’s gonna be rough but, again, you can always try to appeal, if you’re high income obviously you’re not gonna get much. but they do give out merit based scholarships so that can be really helpful regardless of your income level. but i would recommend that you SERIOUSLY think about it if you don’t end up getting quite enough even after appealing. talking to the financial aid office is draining and it can really decrease the level of satisfaction with the choice of your school. i don’t regret it but it is rough sometimes having chosen a school that i didn’t get a full ride to. i’ll talk about it more in a future video but my tip is to just make sure you understand what your family can afford and know that even if you end up having to go to a different school because of finances you can definitely make the most of your experience and it’ll be awesome either way!

your dorm is so cute! i was wondering if the bathrooms were shared in the traditional style dorms for freshmen? when/where are the bathrooms en-suite?

From what I know only East Village and International Village freshman dorms have private bathrooms that are in the middle of two doubles and shared between four suitemates. The rest of the freshman dorms have communal bathrooms! My Q&A explains a bit more on the bathroom situation and freshman building situation if you wanna go check that out!

congratulations!!!!!! i’ve only lived in east village which is nice just cuz you get the private bathroom and AC, but you don’t get to choose housing your first year so it will be random!

hahahaha yeah they’re technically not allowed because it’s a fire hazard but everyone decorates their rooms anyway because well it’s pretty sterile looking without it. you just have to take them down when they do room checks which you get notified of beforehand and they’re not allowed to actually enter the room or something. i probably shouldn’t be saying this as a soon-to-be RA but honestly talking to some previous RAs it’s one of the things that’s just like we’ll ask you to take it down if we see it but we don’t care if you have them since a lot of RAs also decorate their dorms and stuff

@@madisonfurtado6026 you don’t get in trouble necessarily, you’re just told to take them down. but like i said everyone does it, you’re notified like two weeks before a room check is done and if it makes you feel better i post videos with things that i’m not allowed in the dorm with and have not gotten in trouble 😳

yep! they’re actually required to live there their first year although you can sign a waiver if you don’t want to live there, it is a bit more expensive than the other dorms if you’re not covered by financial aid or anything, but it’s nice since you live with other honors students and attend the same virtual (and from time to time in person) events for honors students and it gives you a group of kids to kind of start off with!

lol same but sadly most freshman dorms utilize communal bathrooms. i don’t actually know all of the freshman dorms that use personal bathrooms (which are still shared at least among four people) but the ones i do know of are kennedy hall, east village, and international village

i personally applied to a lot of korean american ones but there really are a lot out there, and smaller ones from like random law firms and stuff so definitely look around and just apply to them while you can! also some schools have a separate scholarship application so make sure you fill those out for all of the schools you’re applying to!

the private bathrooms don’t come with toilet paper since it’s inside your dorm so you’re responsible for replenishing it. communal bathrooms however do get cleaned and replenished by the school!
