You can chant any mantram that is told in vedic scripts. The source of mantra and which Rishi said, we need to know. Saying cosmic mantra etc can be clarified. Ex. Om Nama shivaya, if pronounced in proper way, it makes your inhaling and exhaling in such a way your B P and Sugar gets controlled. The method is told in Thirumoolar Thirumandhiram. Saint says you can extent your healthy living. He lived 3000 years.
Every word in this mantra is connected with a specific sound energy which will vibrate in your system. This is the catch. Once your body will harmonize with this series of energies you will get one step forward in your quest for the Ultimate Knowledge. Everybody is different.
