Thanks and glad to hear that it helped. However, in the future, plan to call a gasman to replace that fan. Typically - this will cost around £200-250. But my boiler continued to work 🤷🏻‍♂️

This might help someone, if your boiler keeps shutting off after few seconds it could be the pump seized, increase the speed gradually while the boiler is firing it should clear itself like mine did.

Just a short term fix I'm afraid. Though a new fan for a micron are expensive, 280 plus vat the last one I bought.

Gotta say I was well sceptical about this i’d googled what the problem was and I knew it was deffo the fan, I was just gonna spend like 200£ on new fan and install and with it being gas lit I thought that doesn’t sound safe putting wd40 near it but boiler is working smoothley after a few resets and a few sprays of wd 40. Cheers 👌👍

Yes, it’s, because it’s dangerous. But there are some things that can be fixed.

The combustion seal is on the case on this boiler and you're showing Joe Public how to open the case and muck about with a fan and even turn it on with the case off, lol. They won't know how to test for safe combustion after and WD40 isn't used by professionals to lube as the accelerant is flammable. Reported.

@@RunOfTheHind The specialist who came to check it charged £250. A month later when the boiler needed to be turned on it stopped working. On contacting him, he again quoted £250. Sorry but I don't have £500 for 20 minutes work! What does it mean: “Reported”?

@@RunOfTheHind This gasman was sent by a landlord. However, I have quoted the price of the 3:09 fan assembly and it is £130 I have had a difficult time, even £250 is a big problem for me. Therefore, your price of £70 is just the work. £70+£130 = £200 In my case £250 You still haven't answered what that means: “Reported”?

Punters should not be removing the combustion cover seal and mucking about with fans. How will they test for safe combustion after? Wreckless video. The accelerant in WD40 is FLAMMABLE!!! Not a good idea to squirt that into one's boiler.

Yes, WD-40 is flammable, but IF IT HAS DIRECT CONTACT WITH FIRE! The motor pin - DOESN’T direct contact with fire or will you deny it?
